Sorry you really didn't get a clear answer on what is going on. That stinks about the heat. I hate hot weather, it makes me so uncomfortable. You would think that by now all schools will be equipped with AC's. My school doesn't have and by May, it's so hot in there you can't even think straight.

Have fun at he lake house.

DD3's school does not have AC. Only the gym does so it does get pretty warm in their classrooms. I think all the public schools but one elementary school has AC.

Today is DD2's 12th bday. We are going to have a bigger celebration on Sunday for her. DH and I have a dinner to go to for the Honor Flight we are going on on Sept. 7. There we'll learn more about what we will be doing that day and meeting the veterns that will be going.

Great numbers Mari!! Do you get an u/s soon?

We had a nice weekend at the lake. The weather was beautiful. Probably one of the best lake weekends of the year. We had some friends and their three little girls come up on Saturday to spend the day with us. That was a lot of fun. Yesterday we celebrated DD2's bday with a home cooked dinner of grilled beef tenderloin and sides. Today we picked up our paddleboards and spent some time on them on a different lake where my grandparents have a place. DH and I have been at eachother since yesterday. He holds onto things for the longest time and will just stay mad at me. So that hasn't been too pleasant. Thankfully, my family has been around to spend time with and vent to.

Margaret...I saw a couple pics of Robbie on FB. Looks like he's ready for 3rd grade. I found that 3rd grade is the grade where they "grow up" in school. They start getting more homework and are almost in the upper half of elementary.

I started a Bible study today. I had gone to this group after all our IVF attempts and failures because I felt I needed it. I quit about 2 years ago and decided it's time for me to go back. It's called "Stronger:Finding Hope in Fragile Places." I think it will be a good one.

UGH BACK TO WORK THIS MORNING!! Teachers work today and tomorrow and students go back Friday. I'm having a hard time covering up my bloat! This progesterone is doing a number on me, especially since they increased it. I really don't want to tell anybody so I guess I have to say I ate a lot this summer. LOL! Only good friends know right now.

Good luck with your new school year Mari! What grade do you teach? That's nice that the kids start on a Friday. Gives them one day, then a break. Our kids started on a Thursday this year, then went a full week the next week, then got out 2 hrs early every day last week because of heat. So once we got into a routine, we got back out. Time to get in a routine now. Next week dance, piano lessons, and cross country meets start so it will really start getting busy. It's nice they have a couple weeks to get adjusted to just going to school before the other stuff gets added in.

I teach 1st. Boring first day. Same old presentations I mean they don't even change the topic. To top it off it was absolutely freezing in the auditorium. Hope tomorrow is better.
