School is letting out 2 hrs early today. This is the 6th day in the 3 weeks of school they have dismissed early because of heat.

I forgot to add that the local Honor Flight chapter has taken 600 vets in 7 different flights to see their memorials. Each flight costs around $100,000 and it is all raised by local private funding. They have no corporate sponsers. I think it's amazing that they continue to raise money and are able to keep taking vets. Most WWII vets have now gone. The next scheduled flight is May 2014 if they can get the funding.

DD3 had another allergic reaction last night. Thankfully it didn't warrent the epi-pen. It has to be food. About an hour after we got done eating dinner she said her stomach hurt so I told her to get ready for bed. She came down a little later looking better but said "I figued out why my stomach hurt...I have hives." She had hives all over her stomach. So we gave her 50mg of Benadryl and sent her to bed. DH checked on her a couple times. When she said her stomach hurt I had said to DH "I hope this isn't an allergic reaction." So now we know if her stomach hurts and she has diarrhea, hives will follow. This is exactly like her reaction the first time. It all ties together except for the 2nd reaction, which was the worst, and she hadn't eaten before that one. I went through what we had for dinner and the only thing we can think of is a spice or herb in a soup mix packet I had used for seasoning. So in a few days we'll make a paste with it and rub it on her and see if she reacts. I'm sure we'll be going back to the allergist and do a spice panel allergy test. At least we are getting a little closer to knowing what's causing it. Hopefully it's not a spice or herb that's common.

DD2 has her first cross country meet today. It's 1 1/2 hrs away. My mom and I are going since DH is on-call.

Things are going well. The boys are 8 months old and crawling all over. We have a romantic trip to Breckenridge Colorado coming up in a couple weeks for a wedding - our first time without any children in 4.5 years. My on-call weekend is coming up this weekend. Hubby is thriving as a stay at home dad. We've been doing a fair bit of hiking lately with the boys I their carriers. My work is still going well. I have to admit that it is nice to just not be TTC. Maybe we need a beyond TTC board.

Sorry you are dealing with health issues with your middle child, Meg.

Margaret - We are having to look at schools and stuff for our oldest and are possibly anticipating a move because of it. Which sucks because we love our neighbors. One of them GAVE us a snowblower this year and the other we have dinner with at least once a week.

Tiffany...sounds like things are going well for you. Enjoy your trip to CO!!!

Mari...hang around here as long as you like. Can't wait to hear about your Friday u/s.

DD2 had her first XC meet tonight. The race started at 4pm and the bus arrived at 3:55. They literally dumped their bags, ran to the start and took off. She finished 13th out of 41 girls. Her time was 15:15. She did really well.

Tiffany - good to hear from you! We bought our house to keep Robbie in the same school.... the psychiatrist and psychologist both wanted him to go to a gifted program. The closest one would mean an hour bus ride there and back They don't have a lot of stuff for the elementary age, once he hits Jr High we are good.

Mari - hoping for a beautiful heartbeat on friday

Meg - well, it is good that you are figuring out the cause of the allergic reactions but not fun to deal with. I have some weird allergies, I am allergic to mayonnaise but I am not allergic to any of the ingredients that make it - it is something in the processing which causes me to have hives.

Having a rough time. I am back on ativan for panic/anxiety attacks. This morning I found out that my uncle died from a massive heart attack last night - that is 3 family members in 11 months.... then I had a bunch of issues at work, mostly software related. Did get some good news though, Sean has been underpaid for the last 3 months! We are getting an extra pay cheque and of course his normal ones will be larger as well. Also his extended health benefits will be kicking in and so we won't have to pay for meds. Good timing too as I think I have a bladder infection Sean got a second job at the movie theatre which is cool. Not that I want him working two jobs but we need to get caught up on things.

Margaret...thanks for your update. I've been wondering how you've been doing. So sorry about the loss of your uncle. I'm sure you probably don't like that you are back on ativan but for right now it's for the best to help the anxiety. Glad there is some good news in all of this. That's great that you will be getting back pay from Sean being underpaid. Not that it's great that he was underpaid but I'm glad they are making up for it. Hope things get better for you.

It turns out that Sean was not the only one being underpaid. I am being underpaid $0.22/hr less then I am supposed to be. I am not impressed. I have had two unanswered emails from my employment agency so far these last 2 weeks. I do not need the added stress but if this is not rectified and quickly I will leave the agency.

My GP actually put me on a longer acting anti-anxiety, Clonazepam, today. I really hope it works. I was so stressed out at work due to software issues, I can't do 90% of my job with the feature that is not working on the software. The help desk people have been idiots. I actually had to take an ativan while at work (did not have the new medicine yet). Add a bladder infection and the period from h.e.l.l. and I am grumpy!
