Margaret...I took Clonazepam about 7 or 8 year ago when I was going through my divorce. I had wafers that dissolved in my mouth so they'd work faster.

Hey Ladies. Been sooo busy!! I an very frustrated with the group of students I have this year. I have A LOT of behavioral issues, so my days are very long. DD has yet another UTI, we need to take her back to the specialist. I don't know what the next step is right now. I just submitted her urine sample this morning, so let's see. The only thing is she was already on antibiotic for 3 days so that may effect the results.
Overall, I'm doing ok. I'm extremely tired by the end of the day. I think it's a combination of having a hard time at work and the progesterone.

Margaret-I hope you are feeling better.

Meg- any updates on the allergies?

Mari...so sorry you have such a hard class. How many students do you have? Hopefully once they get settled in for the year things will get better. Has your DD had a lot of UTI's in the past? My niece had that when she was young. She had reflux issues and had surgery to correct it and I think has been doing good since.

The allergies...she had another reaction on Friday night. Thankfully these ones haven't been as severe as the 2nd one. Friday night was just like the 1st and 3rd one. Upset stomach, diarrhea and hives after eating so it has to be a spice. Only this time she didn't tell us when she thought she was getting hives because she wanted to make sure it was hives. She noticed it while walking into the high school FB game. So once we noticed it DH and to walk a mile to get the Benadryl out of my purse. She has now been instructed to tell us ASAP if she doesn't think something is right because we can treat it faster and it's less likely she'll need the epi-pen. But we are starting to get a better idea of symptoms. Friday night I bought some spicy french fries so I think it was the "spices" listed in the ingredients. The allergist said to just play around with rubbing different foods on her. We go see him at the end of November. Obviously, if things worsen we'll see him sooner. DH thinks with the severe reaction we didn't catch the hives when she had them and the reaction just got worse.

I'm making chili tonight. I had everything bought for fajitas but today is a perfect chili day. It's about 58 degrees and rainy. Just a blah day. Tomorrow it's supposed to be a high of 89 degrees. Iowa weather is so crazy!

Mari, if your daughter has frequent UTIs, you may want to look into the supplement D-Mannose to use as a preventative once she has been treated for any current infection with antibiotics. It helps flush bacteria out of the bladder and urinary tract. I'm using it currently as I have been treated for two UTIs so far this pregnancy. So far I don't seem to be having any signs of another UTI over the past four weeks I have been using D-Mannose (*knock on wood*).

I will thank you. I have to make an appt with the specialist to see what the next step is.

Meg- yes she gets pretty bad ones. It looks like I caught this one early since I know the symptoms already.

UGH-I had a small dot of pink in my discharge yesterday. Luckily I go to the RE tomorrow for an US hoping and praying everything is fine!!!

Meg-sounds a lot like how dd would get before we found out she was lactose intolerant. I was told u can become lactose intolerant later in life as well. I know this is tmi but u should ask her what color her diarreah is. Dd's would be green.

Afm- had a tiny bit if spotting again. Went for ultrasound and all is fine. HB of 143!

Congrats on hearing the HB again!

I don't ask what color her diarrhea is. She would die if I wanted to look and I'm sure she doesn't look. She consumes plenty of things with lactose in it and has no problems at all. She has gone over a week now since her last reaction. We are pretty sure it's a spice or a dye in food. From what I've researched...intolerances don't cause hives. The hives are an allergic response of histamine being released to attack the allergan being put into the body. I was thinking it could be MSG but when ppl think they have an allergy it's actually an intolerance that causes headache, bloating, diarrhea, etc., not hives.

DH parents just left after being here since Thursday. They came for the homecoming parade and to see DD run in her home cross country meet yesterday. We went up to the lake Saturday and Sunday and got the boat out of the water. DD ran good again last night. She's frustrated because she thinks she came in 21st and they gave out ribbons to the top 20. Her and another girl were neck and neck at the end and the other girl cut in front of her and came in 20th. She thinks the girl cheated but we explained it's part of the "game." Just like when someone steals the ball from you in other sports. She's still learning and it's good to lose at times.

Yesterday DH and I did a 30 mile bike ride. It was a fundraiser to raise money for our trails. It was rainy and soooo windy and cold. When it started it felt warmer. Not even a mile in it started pouring down rain and the wind was blowing so hard it was raining sideways and we were riding right into it. We were soaked once we got to the 1/2 way point. It felt like we were pedaling uphill the whole way. We stopped in a town where they served food and the bar was open. Thankfully, the way back was easier since the wind was at our back. My legs were so tired and tight. I was so glad to be done. Then the bar at the starting/stopping place was open so we stayed there to warm up and have a couple drinks. It was much harder than my birthday bike rides. I thought it'd be easier since it's a flat trail and no hills. No hills means no coasting though. Also, it's a limestone trail and since it was wet was really soft. It was one of the more physically and mentally challenging things I've done in my life. We didn't do last years ride because we did The Color Run. Last year it was in the 30's. I think the weather has to be brutal every year for the ride. I'd do it again though.
