Well day 1 of sitting on the sofa! I'm not looking forward to bedrest as of Friday! I'm going thru some things in regards to my daughter like not being able to do certain things for her! UGH it's driving me nuts. BUT I have to do it!!

I'm sure just thinking about the near future is tough when you know you can't be of much help. Is DD kind of at an age that she understands that this is something you need to do?

Marisol's daughter is 8 like Robbie.

Bed rest is hard. So many people think they would love to be told they had to stay in bed all day, until it actually happens to them. Good luck Mari and get a supply of books, movies etc to keep you busy.

    yeah bed rest sucks!!!

DD is 8. She understands for the most part but she is still just 8 KWIM? I have realized that I am just having a very difficult time "letting go" I'm used to being in control and it bothers me that I cannot do certain things anymore.

I always thought the thought of bed rest sounded wonderful when I had my ET but it really wasn't. Being so bloated after the ER my back would get pretty sore.

8 year olds are still pretty selfish and don't quite understand things when it's something they want. It's so hard to let the control go. Good luck tomorrow!

Hey Sorry. I haven't been on since Thursday I believe. The procedure was a bit overwhelming I must admit. I came very close to a panic attack when they brought me into the OR. It was in the same OR where they perform C-Sections so they had those baby beds and stuff there, so I just freaked. It's pretty much the same protocol as a csection. They gave me a spinal, laid me down and covered me up from the waist down so I didn't see a thing. I was numb for hours! Then I wouldn't pee so they couldn't send me home, so finally after over 5 hours I peed and I was sent home. Dr. said that he was glad he did it because my cervix was pretty short. I'm home now on bed rest, I can get up and move around next week. Thanks for checking up on me!

Glad everything went well. I'm sorry it was so overwhelming. Did they give you something to help calm you down once you were in the OR? Glad the doctor wanted to monitor you closely and was able to do this when he did.

I think we have determined that DD3's allergic reactions are not food related. Her allergist said it is probably most likely not a food but I was convinced it was since the reactions only happen after she eats. He said it could be an auto-immune type response. Last night I gave her the same exact soup that she had last week that she broke out in hives after eating. She was fine last night, no hives. I've been googling and I found something it could be and certain triggers such as, spicy food, MSG, stress, etc. can cause a reaction.

DH and I leave for St. Maarten in 1 1/2 weeks. I am not prepared at all. I haven't really thought much about it because then I get too stressed and anxious. I'll start thinking about it more and pack next week. Then I'll only be anxious/stressed for a few days.
