As a former help desk person you did the right thing by power-cycling everything first before calling in, power-cycling usually fixes 80% of you computer issues.

Thanks for the well wishes for the job. I have had 2 previous times that I had to go out to where my family lives that were paid for - I had to testify at a preliminary hearing and then the trial so the government paid my flight and hotel, I was still paid my salary by work. The trial was 3 months before our wedding so I joked with the Crown Attorney (similar to DA) that he paid for me to have a Bridal Shower :D
(child ment) Thanks for the well wishes for Robbie. I hope he gets the help he needs. They also have resources available to us so that we can help him.
Wow! Your dinning room table sounds awesome! My dad and step-mom when building their retirement home built the house with family dinners in mind. They set up the basement so we could have 3 long tables (the ones that sit 10 people) and 1 kid-sized table for the grand-kids. They also had 3 high chairs there. Also large warming trays and a built-in microwave. That's what they get for having 7 kids :) My family used to get together for family dinners about once a month. That all ended when my dad died.
I love the furniture the Amish build. So beautiful and lasts forever.
I had a big post but lost it somehow. I'll try to remember some of the highlights:
Meg - beautiful pillow! I agree that you should put a sample of the paint (especially the darker one) on the wall. That way you can see it in the different lights of the day. Love the sound of your dining room table. My dream was always to have big family dinners like we do with my dad's family. My brother is *hopefully* moving about an hour away (he's currently 4+) once he finishes school - 3 more semesters! I've already declared monthly dinners together ;)
Margaret - good luck with the interview. KUP
Tiffany - how are you doing? Any more pain? Job still going well?
Hoping to hear something from Megeyre - wasn't she going to test today in anticipation of her beta on Friday?
I'm doing alright. I just want to know something you know? I think this 2ww has been the worst of them all. Soon though - a week from tomorrow...
Oh Meg - I have an idea for the QOTD - who would play you/your DH in a movie about your life?
Good one! I'll use it tomorrow. I slacked off today. Was busy running errands. DH's day off work. I'll have to start thinking about my answer to that one.

Jenni...I can understand wanting to know something. The unknown is the worst. I think the more cycles you do the worse the
2WW gets since you've had so many failures you just want it to work.
We got a paint sample today for our wall. We got a color called "Earthen Jug." It's very similar to the pic I posted but maybe not as orange. It was actually one of the colors on the wall in the paint store. I was looking at the color cards and DH said "how about this one" pointing to the wall. That's the color I was looking for. I was able to buy a sample quart and we painted one of the walls and I love it. It's going to make the room so much more cozy. I'm thinking of doing an accent wall around our fireplace and I'm really leaning towards the blue in the pillow. I can't wait to get it done. The worst part is going to be painting the ceiling.
Well, the phone interview is over. I think it went ok. I was talking with 3 people and that made me more nervous. I am one of three final contenders. I should know by the weekend.
After the stress of the interview I am not feeling like cooking so I ordered Chinese food from our favourite place.
I'm sure you're glad the interview is over. I can see how it can be stressful. Good idea with the Chinese.
I had a good doctors appt (and ultrasound) so I am not freaking out as much for now. I am really anxious about this whole thing.
Work is still going well. That guy who came in with the infected finger ended up having to have a drain placed in it - glad I did not try to treat it all by myself. Tomorrow might be a slightly stressful day, but at least I know that going in which helps a lot. I am doing so much reading and learning a lot!
Our son had swim lessons. They don't push them nearly as hard up here (in Minnesota) as they did in Texas and I am not really happy with the class so far. DS does have a lot of fun, but he is there for fun - and to learn. They were going to put a floaty on him - until I intervened. He can swim 10-15 feet and doesn't need floaties unless we are in the open ocean. Anyway, saying something helped. We might do private lessons next time, just so he gets the challenge he needs to keep improving.
2ww are the worst! I feel horrible for all of you dealing with this.
Meg- I don't blame your husband for being sentimental about a table his 1st wife bought. I would expect Eric to be sentimental about stuff like that after I died, but I would want him and DS to be happy and well-cared for. If she were here, I bet she would be updating things and nothing would ever stay the same anyhow. It never does. I guess you can save some of that stuff for when the girls go off to college and start creating their own lives. Probably would be nice to have reminders like that of their 1st mom. The colors on the walls are going to change with time. That is a good thing. Glad he could help you pick out a color. I sometimes wish my DH would just let me do it, but he thinks he has a really good sense of style (sigh).
I am beat from a busy day.
Hope you guys have a good evening.
Tiffany...preg. mentioned...glad you had a good doc appt. Sounds like that finger was pretty bad. It's a good thing you sent that to the surgeon. Were you able to talk to the surgeon?
When DH and I got married we bought a house together for various reasons. His first house was kind of small. Children mentioned...all 3 girls shared one room. I also felt I deserved to experience buying a home as I had never done that. And it felt a little strange moving into another person's house. I would've wanted to decorate it my way and would've feel guilty changing things. My DH saw no problem with this and completly understood so we found our house together. Here the girls have their own bedrooms, I feel comfortable changing things around and I don't feel like I'm living in someone else's house. I remember being so scared to ask if we could look at houses and buy a house together. I didn't know what his reaction would be and he was like "ok." No big deal.
We have an appraiser coming tomorrow morning to appraise our house for refinancing. We got an awesome rate so it was hard to pass up. Our house is kind of a mess with all the painting projects I'm in the middle of. Hopefully he'll see that we are updating our house and that will go to our benefit. I just need to pick it up some today since they take pics.
Children mentioned...our girls have always done private swim lessons. They seem to do better that way. I took both private and group as a child and liked private much better. They didn't help as I don't know how to swim. We've done swim lessons at the YMCA where our lake house is since we spend more time there during the summer and it's a warm indoor pool.
I've had a lot of help from a friend picking out colors. DH and I have picked them out but I check with her first since she's really good with colors. When I asked her about an accent/contrast color she said if I went with an orange color on the main walls, blue would look really good. I said that's good since that's what we were thinking. I found a ceiling fan/light last night and ordered it. We are also going to try painting the bright brass around our fireplace. I hate brass and since our house was built in the early 90's that's what it has. We've been slowly getting rid of it.
Here is our dining room table. I took it before a dinner we hosted. It was set for 10.
