When did you start feeling like this? I'm on day 6 of all the injections (suprefact/gonal-f/luveris) and while I'm bloated and (TMI) been pooping a lot, I'm not sure I'm feeling a whole lot, and certainly not what you are feeling? I'm worried it's not working out.
Turns out Sat is very busy now: 7 am, I'll be at the clinic for bloodwork/ultrasound at 7:45 am; then take DD to swim class; after that is dim sum with a whole bunch of friends; THEN our godsons will be coming over for a playdate with DD.
Dim Sum sounds awesome. DH took DH to swim classes while I did a little hanging out with my sister who is leaving town today (back to Michigan).
We are taking DS to gymnastics later this morning.
We might try to go swimming at our Y later. I don't think I am supposed to "work out" right now, but I feel like I could for the first time in weeks.
Started methylprednisolone today; continuing the doxycycline and taking all kinds of prednisone, a baby aspirin and a prenatal vitamin. Still it is preferable to injections.
Well, not good over here....after all of this flare protocol stuff, they only see 3 eggs on the right ovary, and none so far on the left (altho they say it's a little harder to tell due to the endo cyst there). Going for 3 more days of injections and then U/S again on Tues. I'm sort of thinking this will likely be a bust, which makes me sad. The fertility dr was pretty clear that there was a good chance I won't respond at all.![]()
I wrote this on day 10 of stims. Actually, yesterday and today I haven't felt quite as swollen, but it's still there. I think the worst day had something to do with eating mexican food the night before! I've been so much more tired though too, but there's lots of reasons for that. I had a pretty sleepless night a few days ago because my son was up a few times and I feel like I haven't been able to catch up. My estrogen levels aren't crazy high, so I don't think I'm at risk of OHSS.
Try not to worry about how you are feeling Sophia! Although I understand the worry, entirely. I definitely think every person is different and one of my friends called stims her "happy pills", she felt so good taking them. She is pregnant right now from that IVF! I am just attributing it to the higher dose of meds this time for me and I am comparing it to the last cycle.
I did 12 days of stims, and will trigger tonight, so ER is Monday morning, early! The nurse said everything looks good. My clinic posts lab#'s and ultrasound follicle counts/measurements on the patient portal, so I am able to look at all that. I am trying not to really dwell this, but on my right ovary, the follicle measurements were smaller yesterday than the previous day! Left side were bigger, like I would expect. I am trying to attribute this to measurement variation, but could the follicles on one side actually get smaller?! A bit puzzled by this. Odd thing is my right side did better last cycle, this time it's the left doing better. I have more follicles than last time, but there are a bunch of small ones that probably won't count.
I had a dream last night that I got a positive pregnancy test. First a FRER, then a digital. Then I realized (in my dream) that I was testing with a trigger in my system. Darn subconscious mind!!!! Not excited about starting the 2WW and all those thoughts creeping back in again.
A busy day/weekend for us too. I set my phone alarm for 8:15 tonight so I won't forget to do the trigger at 8:30. As though I'd forget, it's the main thing on my mind today! But you never know!
Have a nice weekend everyone!
Sophia...sorry things aren't going as expected. I hope you get a pleasant surprise during your ER. I'm glad your RE was honest with you up front though about responding.
Tiffany...I'm sure it will be sad to see your sister leave after being here for so long. Will you be able to see her more after you move? Have fun swimming. I would think swimming would be ok. It's not to strenuous. I hated the doxy. I took it for one round. The other times I had to take it I got switched to Z-pak. It caused GI upset so much.
Kara...for triggering tonight! Glad you are feeling better. Maybe the opposite side is doing better this time because it took it easy last time.

We are headed to a graduation party here soon. Then we have dance recital pics. I have to do 12 costume changes in one hour. Should be pretty exciting. Each girl has 4 costumes. Tonight DH and I are going out for dinner then to a play. I'll probably need a drink or two after getting through with pictures.
Sounds like everyone has a busy weekend planned!

I am thinking about you. It only takes 1 good one. It seems like so much to go through, though and I would be frustrated. Do they have another plan if this doesn't work? A different stimulation protocol? The success rates for IVF cycles leading to pregnancy are about 50% around here (some clinics higher) and yet my experience on the boards suggests that this is not the real success rate.
Hope you guys are all having a good weekend. I am definitely trying to stay busy and not go completely crazy.
I am really looking forward to work tomorrow (just not the 7am start time).
We were going to make brats and corn on the cob at home for lunch, but got a call from a friend who lives in Baltimore who wants to get lunch in town today. Nice surprise, but those brats had been in the fridge for a few days... so instead we are having a sausage and corn soup for dinner. I had some vegetables we needed to use soon - so throwing those in as well.
I am also going to "fire up" the bread machine. Might have a glass of wine along with the soup and homemade bread.
Anyone else have some yummy Sunday dinner plans?
It's so hard not to go too crazy during an IVF cycle. During my 2nd cycle I was busy helping my sister get her wedding ready so that really helped.
We are going to grill NY strip steaks with a blue cheese and butter sauce, a baked potato and salad with it for dinner. Lunch is just kind of a leftover lunch. I made pancakes this morning so I probably won't eat much.
I ordered the Fifty Shades of Grey books from Amazon. I'll have to read those after I finish all the Hunger Game books and another book I checked out from the library.
