Good job on finding a groupon. We use that a lot. Also planning vacations around "restaurant weeks" can be fun.

Meg, I'm so glad you had the lump checked out. I am right there with you....always thinking the worst case scenario with anything out of the ordinary I notice. I hope you have some relief from your exam today, and of course keep a good eye on it now. I've had episodes of feeling lymph nodes in my neck or armpit that have freaked me out, sometimes they weren't even swollen, but then you start poking around, it starts to hurt.....Anyway, so glad you had it checked.

Mari-good luck as your new cycle begins. I'll be thinking of you and sending prayers for a successful outcome.

Tiffany-glad the spotting is lessening up. It certainly adds some worry, but chances are everything is fine.

As for me....struggling with exhaustion/nausea still. I haven't been finding much energy to call friends, post on the internet lately. Hoping for it to ease up soon. As of last week, baby is growing along schedule. I was about to relax a bit over it, but then I found out something interesting that threw me for a bit of a loop. I learned that as part of my repeated loss blood testing, that I tested positive for two MTHFR mutations. My doctor is completely unconcerned. Completely. He doesn't place a bit of stock in that as a diagnosis at all, and the test was only run as part of a group of tests that my insurance covered together. The other tests were all normal. There are multitudes of scary information on the internet about MTHFR. I am definitely going to ask the opinion of other doctors, just to get a few perspectives, but for now, am taking extra folic acid and a low dose aspirin, which my doctor said was okay, just in case, and for peace of mind. Aside from fertility/pregnancy issues, there are all kinds of other medical concerns. That is, if there is anything to it at all.

There's always something, isn't there? I know that is true for everyone, as I just read from today's posts here.

Kara...I hope the exhaustion lessens the farther along you get in your pregnancy. Could the MTHFR mutation have anything to do with your IF? It's always scary to find out something that you are unfamiliar with. Sounds like you've done plenty of research and are prepared but reading too much on the internet can freak you out. At least it answers some of the questions as to why you had so many difficulties. Glad your RE really sees no concern, I'd trust him. I think life would be boring if we didn't always have things thrown at us.

We are going July 29- August 5. It will be hot, but I'm used to hot. We'll be there for our 5th anniversary. The horseback riding groupon was the first groupon I've ever bought. I put the app on my phone that way I can look easily at other ones. Do you have any good travel tips Tiffany? I know you're a big traveler!

Thanks for tip Jenni. We decided we are just going to use the big suitcase we already have. We weighed it and it only weighs 2 more pounds than most of the rolling duffles we were looking at. We didn't feel it was worth the expense for 2 lbs.

I don't have much advice, just hope you have an amazing trip!!

One thing I have to say is check out Groupon now and always read the reviews on Yelp! or something similar before buying a Groupon. I have had many great experiences and a few less-than-desirable ones. I hope you can do the horseback riding early in the morning, or at dusk. It gets cold fast in the desert. You might even need a sweater depending on where you are staying... be sure to look at the weather (i.e. weather.com) and check out what the highs and lows are before you go.

Our horseback ride is at 10am. Our options were 10 am or 2pm, we went with the 10am ride because of heat factor. They said we will ride along the cottonwood trails which is 20 degrees cooler. I've been watching weather.com and it looks like it's been cooler there than here and they've had more rain than we've had. We'll probably get a break from the heat headed to AZ with the way the temps have been at home.

I got up and ran this morning. I feel exhausted after it though. I really don't enjoy running but do it because I know it's good for me.

Prayers go out to the victims and families involved in the CO shooting. That is so scary and sad.

I know this may sound really immature, but I cannot wait for that news story to pass. It is so heartbreaking and so random. I can imagine what it would have been like for those working in the nearby ERs. I think 11 were still in critical condition this morning. Also, I have gotten that call that my sister might not make it from the ER and it is heart-wrenching and life-changing.

Depending on your altitude in AZ, you can definitely get out of the heat there. One of my favorite "secret" vacation places is 1.5 hrs from El Paso in the mountains. From Dallas, it was so easy to catch a flight to El Paso (planes reliably empty). There is a pine/rainforest there and it is just lovely and cool even when it is very hot an hour away.

I can't imagine working in those nearby hospitals. They interviewed one ER doc that worked in a Denver ER that was on scene at the Columbine shooting also.

We are going to be in Sedona which I've heard is cooler than Phoenix.

DH and I booked a Disney Cruise the other day. This is something we want to take our girls on and I think now is the best time and the ages they'll enjoy it the most. We are going at the end of May 2013. They'll be done with school if there are no snow days. We didn't want to do one during the school year since we'll have a middle schooler this year and don't know how hard it will be to miss a week of school. We even bought our airline tickets already. We thought they were a decent price so just decided to go ahead with them.

Today is my last day in my 20's . I'm kind of sad about joining a whole new decade. Last year was pretty hard turning 29, so I'm sure 30 will be harder. We're going to go to my parents house today to see my sister. We were born on the same day, 4 years apart. For some reason I always forget to get her a gift. You'd think it'd be easy to remember. I'm going to look for something in AZ for her. She has my gift already.
