So much has changed on the board in the last 2.5 weeks!! Good luck to you girls stimming now; i seconc having your own posting to update. Good luck to Mari; after what you have been through hoping this is it for you. Jenni glad to see your MIL is doing ok. Nice of you to do so much for her.
Glad to be back in the states. I am in Dallas, the city of restaurants and shopping. I hardly did any shopping there because I know you can get fine Italian merchandise here easily. We had dinner reservations someplace really fancy for tonight but they refuse to let me add one more to my reservation (making it 5, not 4). So, though it is my favorite place and they have a once-per-year deal, likely i will be calling to cancel it. So, got a lot of "housekeeping" thingz to do now that i am back (pay for cobra, fax some stuff to the new job).
(preg ment)
I have the level 2 ultrasound this afternoon. Praying it goes ok. Still not attached because worried about what will go wrong.
Tiffany..glad you made it back to the US. That's annoying about the restuarant. Too bad you couldn't just squeeze one more person around your table. Sometimes I think you need a vacation from vacation just to catch up on everything that didn't get done while you were gone. Good luck with your u/s this afternoon.

Jenni-so glad to hear about your mom! Also, best of luck on Thursday!
Meg-yeah I totally remember the stinging from the meds, and even the big red target it would leave for like 20 minutes on my stomach. Hope this cycle is it for you!!!! As you get closer to actual O time, I'm sure they will give you a more definite day. That's how my RE was, she would tell me with certainty like 2 days before.
AFM-I'm okay still extremely nervous since I seem to be almost symptomless still. I go for more BW and US on Friday. I'm hoping that we hear the HB. I decided this time around I will not ask for beta numbers. If they call and say "numbers are rising nicely," I will be happy with that. I drive myself too crazy wondering if numbers are good or not. So almost Frday-God it's been a lllooonnnggg week!!!
preg mentioned....
Mari...I obsessed way too much about symptoms when I got my positive. Luckily, DH is a physician so could order a beta for me to ease my mind. Just remember that not all pregnant women have symptoms. Consider yourself one of the lucky ones...and it's still pretty early on for you. Good luck on Friday.
We had our first meeting for our Nicaragua mission trip tonight. I'm in charge of the travel/airline arrangements. I think I found a good deal on tickets. We'll buy them once we know if another guy in the group is going for sure or not. I think it will be a very interesting and life changing trip. My parents, younger sister and DH are going. This will be my parents 3rd time, my sister's 2nd time and our first time. DH, myself and my sister are going to be on the medical team (sister is a nurse). I'm a bit nervous since I haven't practiced nursing for about 4 years.
Children mentioned...today we got a letter saying that our oldest DD qualified for the TAG (Talented and Gifted) program in middle school. She didn't know what it was but we told her it was a big deal and something to be proud of. It will be a good thing for her and another place for her to meet friends. They'll meet twice a week. The schools are letting out 2 hrs early tomorrow and Friday d/t heat. It's supposed to be 99 degrees here tomorrow.
Does anyone have any fun Labor Day plans? We are headed up to our lake house on Friday evening after DH gets off work. It's kind of the last "hurrah" of summer. We'll take our boat out this weekend. On Saturday we are planning on going to a "great grape stompede" at a winery. We've gone for the last two years. It's pretty fun. They have a grape spitting contest and you get to stomp grapes (and drink wine)

We are finally headed back to Minnesota tonight. Our plan is to have an open house on Labor Day, a kind of meet the neighbors type of event. We are thinking something from 5p-9p to encourage people to come for dinner. I am hoping that since it is a bit later it will encourage people to come even if they have other plans that day. We have met a lot of our neighbors, but have been out of town for the last month.
I am so jealous of the wine event you are going to. Should be neat. We love doing stuff like that.
Mari - early pregnancy is difficult especially when you have worked so hard to achieve it... now it is just waiting and hoping.
Tiffany...Are you driving back to MN or flying? Sounds like a fun and nice thing to do on Labor Day. Are you going to do the whole dinner or do a pot luck type thing? The winery we go to is fun. It's small winery in an old barn. They have some live music outside on the porch of the house. They make really good red wine which is hard to find in IA. Usually the wineries in IA make lots of sweet wines which I don't care for too much.

Welcome back Tiffany! The open house sounds great.
Mari - sorry that you are still worried. I agree to just try to enjoy it. You are still in my thoughts. Everything crossed for tomorrow!
Meg - that's wonderful about DD! I had a crazy thought too - what about a pen pal for her? Does she enjoy writing as much as reading? The winery sounds neat. DH and I don't drink (no moral objections, just not something we 'picked up') so not terribly familiar with the differences in all the types.
Meg (2) Hope everything is still going well for you! You're getting close!
My appt went well this morning. We are all systems go to start stimming on Saturday. Looking at an ER about 2 weeks from today is not earlier (yikes!!!). Talked to my dad this morning too. They are discharging Mom this morning!!!! She had a bit of some hiccups Tues afternoon through last night. PT had to be delayed a bit and I was afraid that she wouldn't get cleared but she did. I still feel awful that I can't be there to help out. She's in good hands though. Us not so much but we'll manage![]()

Mari- Hope that tomorrow goes well. I understand what you are saying about not knowing the exact numbers. I can totally relate to over analyzing everything and being worried when things aren't exactly as someone else/some place on the Internet says they should be. Hope you are able to relax and enjoy the checkup- and see a HB!
Tiffany- welcome back!!
Jenni- Yay for starting to stimm on Saturday!! Will be thinking about you and hoping time flies to the ER. Glad to hear your mom will be discharged!
Meg- sounds like fun Labor Day plans! Our church actually does ministry in Nicaragua and always goes to the same town for our mission trips where we have built a church, school, and done a few other things. I have not had to chance to go but those that have truly have a life changing experience. Hope your planning goes smooth!
AFM- go in for another u/s tomorrow morning. Hoping to get a better idea of when ER will be. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
