    (child ment)

Today I took Robbie for his u/s. He loved seeing his liver and kidneys, couldn't make out what other things were. Apparently there is a small cyst on one kidney but the radiologist does not think it is an issue. Everything else looks perfect so probably IBS (sad that he had to inherit one of my medical conditions).

A funny moment for you all. I was walking from the bus stop to the library and almost lost my jeans. I know I can put them on and off without undoing them but this was a first! Maybe I am finally losing some weight? I hope so!

What's been going on with Robbie? Didn't realize he was having problems. I'm glad that the cyst isn't alarming. That would've been horrible to loose your pants. Sounds to me like you've been loosing weight.

Jenni...I forgot to do your question. I was going to do it this morning then got sidetracked and forgot. Sorry

Wow, I am tired. Dead on my feet. Did not have time to get lunch... mostly because I wanted to get my charting done and stay caught up. Luckily our vending machine takes credit cards. Gonna have to tell DH to pack more food for me. He basically just packed me a morning snack. And yes, I am spoiled - but I am doing some major heavy lifting for our family right now.

Tiffany...I know the feeling of skipping lunch to stay caught up. Hopefully DH will pack you more in the future. You deserve to have your lunches packed for you.

Chronic constipation. We give him as much fiber as we can but since it has been going on so long our family doctor wanted to rule anything else out.

It was funny about realizing my jeans were falling. My t-shirt was long enough to cover everything if not I would have looked like one of those teen boys who wear their pants half-way down their butts. I have to weigh myself but I hate doing it so I put it off...when I saw the RE I was at 263 which was down 7lbs. Trying to exercise more, have already been eating healthy for years but it has not been helping with the weight loss.

Tiffany - take care of yourself!!! Skipping meals is not good as you know. And it is great that your DH packs you a lunch, you deserve it. I tend to be the one that packs lunches. Sometimes DH will pack up the leftovers for us.

Glad the doctor wanted to rule other things out. I never believed my DH when he said I had IBS. I always thought my lower abd pain/cramping was uterine cramping but now I'm believing it's more intenstinal. It responds well to exercise and a better diet. I do have other symptoms of IBS, it is worse if I am anxious or worried.

I just ordered some new wall hangings for our family room. They are from Haiti and made out of recycled oil drums. They are very unique and one of a kind as they are not mass produced.

I have had 5 colonoscopies and each time they tell me IBS Not fun but my dad died of colon cancer 5 years ago so it is best I keep being checked. And the prep is so much worse then the colonoscopy is!

You will have to post pictures! The wall hangings sound really nice.

And just to put this out there: I HATE ALLERGIES! I am waiting for October and a snowfall to kill everything so I can stop sneezing and blowing my nose. I am tired of having to add another med to my routine meds. It would be worse if I was still living where I grew up (every September I would be in the ER with an out of control asthma attack due to rag weed, out here they don't have rag weed). And yes, it pretty much always snows in October and sometimes September.

I'm glad you are getting your colonoscopies routinely. I know of one person who sister has a history of colon cancer and she refuses to go to doctor's and get routine screenings. DH keeps telling me I'm going to get myself a colonoscopy if I don't stop complaining about things and to stop my worrying.

Luckily, I've never really battled with allergies...knock on wood. Allergies were really bad here in spring for people because it never really got cold enough in the winter to kill stuff.

The appraiser is here right now. I'm glad DH is able to be here to show him around and let him know what we've done to the house since moving here. The appraiser asked how much we want it to appraise for and DH told him and said that'd be doable. DH has been anxious for the appraisal to get done. We got the house spiffed up and it was like getting it ready for an open house.

Apparently they do colonoscopies up here with a miralax prep. I am waiting to really see the results of this. It is really weird because I was at a hospital very strong in gastroenterology and I cannot imagine writing for a miralax prep. I need to read the literature on that.

It was a good day. I am so glad I am off for the weekend. There is something screwed up about my paycheck - so will need to address that on Monday.

My sister is coming in with her family tonight. She and the kids will stay for a week. We got a Sam's membership and bought some things. DH's mom has our son for the night. It was kind of a date night - going to the store without the LO.

Here they use "Go Lightly", and it does not make you go lightly. It is not a fun thing and it makes me so sick, it makes me feel like I have food poisoning again.
