I think any colonoscopy prep would be bad. When I worked at the hospital we'd get little old ladies that would stay the night to prep since it would make them so weak. I've heard the scopes not the bad part, the prep is and I beleive it.

We went to the homecoming football game last night. Probably the first FB game I've been to in 3 years. We won. It was a good game as far as I could tell. I don't know much about FB. It was the first time winning against this team since 2007.

Hi Ladies, I've been reading for years but rarely posted in here. We're in the final stages of getting set up for a frozen donor cycle, but what I was going to post about was the colonoscopy preps. LOL

As a veteran scope-ee I can say that I will never again prep with anything OTHER than Miralax. Go-Lytely is evil, Dulcolax is cruel (for me) and Mag Citrate is Devil spit (my DH's name for it.) We both have Crohn's and I personally lost count of my scopes sometime after the 10th (and I'm 45).

Carole - I am glad to read that the miralax prep is common and reading about it last night, I can see why that would be preferable to ther other options. I am excited that when I need my colonoscopy they have a better option than Go-Lyteley... I know it may seem sick to be excited about something like that but as a veteran scope-ee, I bet you understand.

Glad you decided to post. Good luck with your frozen donor cycle!!

Spending one more day at home before another work week. I am actually looking forward to work tomorrow. Weekends at our house can be more exhausting.

Hi Carole!! Good luck with your frozen donor cycle!

Tiffany...Glad you are looking forward to work tomorrow. Must mean you like your new job.

DH's parents have been here since Friday afternoon. They'll leave tomorrow morning. Haven't really done too much. Made a couple good meals, went out for brunch this morning. Sounds like all we've done is eat this weekend. I went and bought all the paint for our family room yesterday. It was a little nervewracking doing it on my own and having to pick out the contrast color myself. I took our fireplace apart and sanded that down and primed it. We are painting the brass around it.

I also put up my Halloween/fall decorations today. We went and bought pumpkins. Now that the weather is cool it gets me in the mood for fall. I love the fall candle smells too. I forgot how much we have for Halloween decorations.

Does any of you watch the show "Breaking Amish" on TLC? I find the show very interesting even though I kind of feel bad for the young Amish ppl on it. I think TLC set them up. As someone said on FB...essentially they paid these innocent Amish ppl, took them to NYC and are making TLC's version of the Real World?

Since season premieres are coming up this week, what are some shows you watch?

I like "Big Bang Theory", "Two Broke Girls", and "Mike and Molly" for sitcoms. I also like the new show "The New Normal." That's pretty funny. I think I find it interesting since the two guys are using donor eggs and a surrogate. It's the whole IVF thing I can relate to. I also like "The Voice", "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice." It's not like I watch these shows every week but it's what I watch when I can. I also watch, but DH hates, "Four Weddings."

It was cold here the last few days. It got down to below freezing last night and the night before. Today was beautiful once it warmed up. It's supposed to be in the 70's the rest of the week which is perfect weather.

I'm so tired tonight. I worked on painting and priming the brass trim pieces around one side of our fireplace. It's a dual sided fireplace so I still have the other side to do. We took down all the pics in the family room and patched up nail holes and taped off some trim. I also ran today. I'm ready to do nothing but I have a huge load of laundry to fold. I can't complain to DH too much about being tired since he's been on call since Friday morning and isn't done until Wednesday morning. He's had a really busy few days and has hardly gotten any sleep at night. I guess I can complain to him but if he'll take pity on me is a different story.

Yeah, I wouldn't take pity on you either if I were him. I had a long day at work today, too. Tomorrow is theoretically a half day. We will see.

I love that DH doesn't work... so we will do something fun together, I hope.

Tiffany...hope you and DH can do something fun on your 1/2 day off. It seems like DH just gets home or d/c a pt and another comes in. That's how it's been all weekend. These 120 hr stretches really do him in when it's busy. There are other times when it's not busy so in the end it all evens out. He's just getting really exhausted. This whole month I think he's had 5 days off, otherwise it's 24hrs/day.
