Children mentioned...It's kind of getting to the point where it's embarrasing if the girls still believe in Santa. They aren't getting many Santa gifts this year in hopes that maybe they'll admit it and realize they aren't going to be missing out on much if Santa doesn't come. I remember when my mom told me Santa wasn't real and I had known for quite a long time that he wasn't. So maybe that's what they are doing to us. It's so obvious he isn't real and the girls are old enough they should know how things work. Fairies can't fly in your room at night and take your tooth and leave money, the Easter bunny doesn't hop around and deliver things. Just like Santa doesn't land on the roof and fit down the chimney. I think part of it is DH doesn't like to admit the fact that the girls are getting older and aren't "kids" anymore so he doesn't say anything to them. I'm the opposite. I'm not a parent that is sad that their children are growing up. I look at everything they've accomplished and the nice, young ladies they are turning into and am happy. I know parents who give their children guilt trips for getting older.

I stopped believing in Santa at age 8 and that was later than most of my friends. Might be time to tell the truth.

Having 9 siblings I was lucky to make it to 7. As for decorations for the house, I know I have pinned tons of cheap easy stuff to do for the house from pinterest. Lots of the stuff using dollar store stuff or stuff you already have at home.

While I wish that Robbie had stayed with the make believe stuff for longer - 4 was too young for me - I get where you are coming from Meg. Because I am the youngest of so many my parents were not sad at me growing older, just the grand kids (one who is 6 months older then me).

Job interview at 10am tomorrow. If I go on in the process I will have another interview probably next week.

So, as I have not O'd yet and we already had paid for the meds I took my trigger shot and tonight is timed BD. We figured that at this point there was no real harm in trying and we are both sad at the thought of not having another baby. I took my first hpt to test out the trigger.

I see we are almost to 1000 posts on here so then I'll restart another one once we hit that number. Would anyone mind if I put on the thread title that preg/child mentioned? That way we don't have to remember to put that in each of our posts. I know that's what they do with the chat thread on TTAAL.

Margaret...good luck with your interview tomorrow. Let us know how it goes. I'll be thinking about you. Accepting the thought of not having another baby is a process. It took me 2 IUI's, 3 IVF's and tens of thousands of $ to finally come to the realization that I'd never have a bio child. Then after that it took time. But now 2 1/2 years later I've accepted it and am happy.

Fine with me. I feel bad when I forget to put any warnings.

I was just thinking it'd be easier.

Children mentioned...How did your son find out so early? I think part of it is that the girls go to a very small Catholic school so are sheltered from a lot of stuff. DD1 is now in the public middle school and I think she's exposed to things they are never exposed to at their other school. I think it's good for her. I'd rather have her be exposed to certain situations when she is still living under my roof and I can have an influence on her. Rather than her living a sheltered life then going off to college and having to experience everything for the first time there. I would so love to "accidently" leave out the "Santa" wrapping paper for them to find so the beans would be spilled.

Tiffany...are you looking for outdoor or indoor decorating ideas?

Meg - not totally sure. We were shopping and it was no where near Christmas and he just said "Santa is not real", I was shocked and asked why he said it and he told me that there was no way Santa could go around the world giving out presents in one day. He is so scientifically minded which is where it all came from, at least I think so. This is the kid who at age 3 told me he was a boy because daddy gave him a y-chromosome and I gave him an x!!!

His grade 1 teacher told me that he was totally like Sheldon on Big Bang Theory. Finally watched an episode today and yup, that is totally Robbie!

That being said he does write a letter to Santa ans was thrilled last year when he received a letter back (from the postal workers). He does know that it is mom and dad who buy the presents and fills his stocking.

I love "Big Bang." I used to not like it all because it annoyed me. I got DH the first couple seasons for Christmas a couple years ago and started watching and realized it was much funnier than I gave it credit for.

Child mentioned...Maybe your DS thinks there is a Santa but knows that you are the one that do the gifts.

I love big bang too (after first finding it annoying)!!!!

I want to get the outside decorated. We have stockings and a tree for the inside. The outside needs to look nice but not be too difficult to put up or take down. I'll post some photos once we have that done.

I went to Catholic schools the whole way through but I imagine people are worldlier in Dallas than most places in Iowa. I was going to Catholic school in Iowa when I was 8... surely they really know, right?
