Check in

It's been a while since we have done something like this I think. And if I'm overstepping by posting this, just let me know. How's everyone doing? For those doing cycles, where are you in the process? Anything else exciting going on? What's the best thing that has happened this week?

1)I'm doing a little better since my freakout earlier in the week.
2)We are still set for the FET on Tuesday!! (assuming at least one+ embryos make the thaw)
3)I hope to have my SIL come up tomorrow night for a girls' night and potentially a massage on Sunday using some Christmas $
4) Best thing this week has to be that DH got a great yearly review and a 4% raise!! $ has been a little tight lately and this will give us a tad more breathing room

Yeah for the FET this week. So excitting!!! Keeping my fingers crossed! January has been icky. I had a crazy work week the 1st week,(which was my last week at work before my demotion/lay off kicked in... was bumbed from regualr part time hours to per diem...) the 2nd week I was sick, the 3rd week I went to Disney and guess what I got sick and spent the 4th week sick again. Just starting to feel better again. I'm really tired of these germs.

I am tired of the germs too! I have been sick on and off since October. Sore throat again this week, but no congestion. I hope we start feeling better soon Smile

No, you are not overstepping. It's nice to have things that keep this board active.

Hope everyone gets to feeling better. I have had more colds this year than any year before. I just got over one then thought I was getting another one on Thursday. I just pray I don't get the pukey-flu. I hate it with a passion!!

Hi everyone! Sorry for all of you who've been sick and hope you feel better soon. And Meg-couldn't agree more on the pukey-flu. I dread it with a passion too and I have since I was a little kid.

Jenni-sending good luck and prayers for your FET this week. And congrats on DH's raise....we found out this week no raise at all for my DH, and he just got a promotion and working harder than ever. His company is not doing all that well, so we understand it, and are glad his job is secure (we think), but no raise at all is a bit tough to swallow! (especially with all this spending on TTC).

I am on day 5 of injections. I am doing them myself-no problem. I am feeling less anxious about the process now that it is underway. I had good bloodwork yesterday and the tech said I was responding well. I think I had 6 follicles on the R and 3 or 4 on the L. We'll see how it goes next week.

Congrats on responding well! Sounds like things are going good for you. The thought of doing the injections is scary but once you do it, it's really no big deal. I could never do the PIO ones myself though. If my DH was working, I'd drive 30 minutes one way to have him do them. There are some women who do them by themselves. I have no clue how.

Sounds like things are starting up for everyone. Good luck to those starting to cycle.

CD1 started last night for me, so I will go in for bloodwork on Monday. We will be starting our donor egg cycle and should be ready to travel by the end of the month! Also found out that our eggs are coming from a cycle that another couple was successful!! It is kinda weird to think if it works, our chaild will have a half brother or sister already out there.

We're on cycle #7 of TTC au naturale, but I still check in periodically to see how everyone here is doing. I'll have to keep a closer eye on this board in the coming weeks. Sounds like a lot of upcoming action! I hope to see everyone who is cycling graduate to a birth board.

I hope you get your natural surprise!!

I'm anxious to see this board pick up in the next few weeks also.

Hi all,

I know I haven't posted in a while... but I do check on everyone occassionally Smile So nice to see all the BFPs! I'm hoping that those with upcoming cycles will be just as successful!! I look forward to seeing many more BFP's in the near future!!

The only thing exciting here is the fact that we are going for a 2nd opinion! woo hoo! We are headed to Mass. General Hospital at the end of March for a 2nd opinion by their fertility specialists. I'm hoping they will have some thoughts on other options we can try... but we are still not 100% that we are going to try again. I'm holding off on any decision on that front until we hear what MGH says.

I have decided if we do another cycle, I'm also going to do accupuncture. I figured at this point, I'll take any help I can get Smile

Rachel: so excited to hear how your DE cycle goes! I've been checking back to see if you've posted! I have everything crossed for you.

Miss you all! I promise to post more often!

Amanda...thanks for checking in. It's good to hear from you. I hope that you get some more info with your 2nd opinion. Whether it be something to help you in deciding to do another cycle or helping you decide enough is enough. It's good to wait to make a decision until you hear what they have to say. Good luck!

Sorry I've been AFK but been lurking, my laptop broke and my old one has broken keys so typing is a chore. Time to buy an IPad or something! I promise to post back soon as I get my PC back repaired or replaced (it has a major design flaw with the power pin).

Big hugs to everyone...

So my ER has been set for Tuesday. I do the trigger shot tonight....I have to stay up late to do it at exactly 11:30pm! Today, I am fine walking around, but every time I sit down I can feel my ovaries. Not pain, just uncomfortable. I'm feeling a bit nervous, but ready to get things moving!

Kara I will have everything crossed for you Smile

I have my injection training tomorrow at 9am. Friday I started to feel anxious so I painted our guest room and the bonus room this weekend. I am exhausted right now. Can't wait to start this cycle

Good luck tomorrow! What a great way to let go of your anxiety. I'd get a lot accomplished if I did that.

The injection training went well. Good news is no progesterone shots Yahoo I was really worried about those. Now I am to wait for AF to start and then we are on Smile

That's awesome you don't have to do progesterone shots. Are you doing suppositories. Glad the training went well.

Yes I will be doing suppositories. I know they are not fun, but definitely better than the injections. DH was not very comfortable with doing them so its a big load off Smile

Hi everyone, I'm kind of new here, altho I recognize a few people from elsewhere on the boards. I'm Sophia, 40, and just phoned in to get on the IVF waitlist. I meant to start sooner but I have issues: HUGE endo cyst on left ovary, small endo cyst on right ovary, and a fibroid in my uterus to boot. It's a 3-4 mth wait but I'm looking forward to this!

Good luck on your IVF journeys!

Welcome Sophia!! I can't believe how long of a wait you have. Can you get all your pre-stuff done beforehand? Hope your stay here is short and sweet. Feel free to ask any question as someone here probably has an answer for you.

Hi Meg! Thanks for the welcome! The only pre- things to do now are bloodwork to check for immunity to diseases and etc., and going to some info session. I probably would have gone on the waitlist sooner...it's unfortunate but so many people here go to this fertility clinic (I think it's the only one in this city??) that it just takes that long before they can do IVF treatment for you.

Sophia...you should introduce yourself on the main board. That way everyone has a chance to meet you even if they don't read this thread.

good luck to all the ladies getting ready for a cycle.

**child mentioned**

As for me, i lurk here -- DH and i are thinking about when we want to start up the FET process..... i'm thinking July-ish. We'd like to celebrate O's 1st bday 1st, incase things don't work out then i don't feel like i missed out on O growing up or something.... i know weird. I think i'm going to call the fertitlity dr in May so we can discuss what we need to do and i want to firm up and start working out again regularly (i just am too dang tired) before we start up again.
