Checking in

How's everyone doing today? This week has been crawling by but I expected nothing less. The fear and doubt that maybe this didn't work started creeping in on Sunday but trying to remain positive. My levels looked good yesterday (for estrodol and progesterone) so my lining is good. After almost a week and a half of injections, my DH realized he was using the wrong gauge needle  Now that we moved to the smaller size, it's not as painful. I'm seriously thinking about POAS sometime this weekend.
Maddie - thinking about you a lot this week. Hope that you are doing well!! Check in when you can.
Anyone do anything fun this weekend? I was able to go see at show (the Rockettes Christmas) with my SIL on Saturday. It was cheesy but incredibly fun.

Oh no!...What size gauge needle were you using? I remember that was something they stressed with the PIO, to make sure you change the needle before giving since you need such a big needle to draw it up since it's as thick as Karo syrup.

It's amazing how many different emotions you can feel going through this. One second you feel so positive it worked, then you are in tears because you know it didn't work. I'm on a POAS pusher, so I'm not going to push you to do it. Do it if you feel it's right and if you want to.

We saw the Rockettes last year. It was a good show!

DH and I must have missed that part of the nursing class. We had been using the same 22 gauge needle that we used to draw it up. My mom kept saying that it was a little harder to push through the skin. Now we know why. ROFL I bent the needle accidentally a few nights ago and decided to switch out the needles (we never could understand why they sent extra needles in the bag). It was SO much better. I promise we are generally competent people
I really want to POAS this weekend just so that I'll know and if it doesn't work, I'll have a few days to process it. The is to have my beta on Monday and find out over the phone (they will leave a message with the results). In the almost 3 years that we have been at it, I've always dreamed of seeing that positive stick. I know it's silly and that in the end it doesn't really matter but I feel like I've had to "give up" so many things already due to stupid infertility. Plus I don't think I can wait another day Wink

preg mentioned

With my one cycle that I did get a positive beta I went and POAS after finding out my results. I didn't POAS during my cycle but I wanted to see the positive stick. That was the first time I had ever taken a preg test. Had I not had a positive beta I think I would've thought it was a neg because the line was so faint. I think I even POAS a week later to see the darker line.

At least you realized NOW why those "spare" needles were in the bag! With all the information that is thrown at you during an IVF cycle it really shouldn't be a surprise when a mistake like that is made.

Glad you had fun last weekend!

 OUCH that had to hurt!! So glad you have the right needles now. How are you holding up? I'm a bit of a wreck. My Beta is friday but I'm thinking about POAS tomorrow. I'm so afraid of the results though that I may talk myself into waiting until Thursday morning.

POAS at some point!!! When I had DS I POAS and to FINALLY see that BFP was an amazing feeling!

I'm so glad you checked in Mandie! I'm sorry that you are a wreck. It's such a roller coaster isn't it? Good luck whatever you decide to do. I really really hope you get your BFP. That's so crazy that your beta is a few days before mine. Is that because you had longer between retrieval and transfer? My beta isn't until Monday (6 days not that I'm counting Wink ). I'm so excited for you!!!

Jenni, you def deserve to see a bfp!!!

I think you should be fine to poas by Friday! And I am really good at examining pee sticks, if you feel like sharing and need an extra set of eyes. Wink

Still praying for y'all!

Thanks. Last night was super rough. *TMI* but I had a teeny tiny bit of spotting (wasn't there the 2nd time and hasn't been there since) so I got so afraid that AF was about to show. It's funny because the end of last week I was worried because I didn't get any implantation spotting and now that I get a little bit I freak out. All the emotions of the last 3 years of "failure" are flooding back now. I know it's not rational but it's there. I'm almost 99% convinced that it didn't work. I'm tempted to test tomorrow just so I can go ahead and move on. Sorry to be a debbie-downer.

Sorry you had a rough night last night. Hopefully the spotting stays away and you can be reassured that it did work!
