Actually a few of our IVF mommas did DE and have had lots of success. I hope they come around to answer any questions you have. Until then, I'm here to keep supporting you. Smile

I don't know much about DE personally, but a friend of mine (who TTC for several years) did IVF 3 times with no success. On her 4th attempt, they did it with DE from her sister and now have 9 month old twins. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts as I await a followup from your consult.

I'm in the "same boat", I'm 43 and my FSH is 22. We started the DE process and currently doing my "mock" cycle now. Hoping to do DE IVF soon since we are not being picky about our donor. It's gonna cost us a pretty penny but this is our last shot.

We were seriously looking into DE because of my high FSH (my few eggs were fragile and never divided past 3-4 cells). The only thing holding us back at the time was money (we'd used up insurance and savings on failed IVF cycles). When is your consultation?

I'm sorry you got some news that you don't like to hear. But it's good that you have an answer to why your cycles didn't work and you now have options to move forward to get success. Yes, there are women on here who have had success with DE. DH and I considered it also when searching different options. I hope you have a good consult on the 3rd.

On consult on Thuesady 11/3. My FSH is not high, but I am 38 and it is the only thing they can think would be the issue. None of my embroys can make it to 5 days and if they do they are not a good quality.

It is expensive, that is why we are doing frozen...fresh is way too expensive and we are also all OOP.

I hear ya...that is why we are doing frozen instead of fresh. I am not picky either...my only critera was that the donor is Asian since I am, other than that not picky. We actually found a clinc by us that has frozen Asian eggs. So we will see how Thursday goes...

I am another who doesn't have any experience with DE. I just wanted to wish you all the best!! It's been recommended to us as well, I'm "old" at 35 with FSH of 61. Sad Diagnosed premature ovarian failure at 33. Also wanted to add that there are a few grads here who did DE cycles and were successful. I hope they see this and can give you and WhiteWolf68 some inspiration.
