Default IVF cycle (success, pg mention)

I apologize for not posting sooner...and keeping totally mum about my IVF cycle (started in December). I was just too afraid to breathe a word about it, wanted to wait to see how things went and well...

It worked! Managed to get 28 eggs at ER and in the end we wound up with 10 great eggs (8 on ice). Two eggs were put in at ET on 1/24 and I kinda just knew two days later that it worked. I got a BFP at 6dp5dt and a digital BFP on 8dp5dt. Yesterday we had our 1st scan and it's.....twins! One is smaller than other, so we'll see how things go. I don't go back for another scan till the 27th but I do have morning sickness some which is a great sign. I posted pics & betas under the "TTC Over 2 Year" board.

(Note, I won't add a signature or join any birth boards till my next scan, etc, I have a history of losses. I'm also on a blood thinner injection and aspirin till birth I think.)

OOhhh, and my nurse gave me different needles for my progesterone shots, so they've been easier than my mock cycle.

A very odd symptom, restless leg syndrome, which I still get nearly every night now. I don't suffer from RLS at all so I was pretty sure something was up along with freezing (can't get warm feeling). Prior to the ET, I took a teaspoon of Royal Jelly/Bee Pollen for about three weeks (stopping 3 days prior to ET). I've read so many positive stories about it but mostly I didn't want to get sick since it's cold/flu season and winter.

Best of luck, 2/27 is nearly here!!! Woohooo!

OOhhhh, another thing I did (which I read somewhere either here or another board) was to mentally to tell your eggs that they are doing well and that you're so proud of them, while they are thawing, etc. I also listened to a positive CD daily which taught me not to worry.

Congrats!!! Thanks for sharing your success story. I can understand wanting to keep things quiet. Sometimes you just feel like you are going to jinx yourself. I'll have to checkout your pics. I'll be stalking you. What is your EDD?

Lurker - someone I know just delivered her DE twins at 38 weeks. It was her 3rd IVF attempt. She is 45 and her DH is 48. She probably could have gone to 40 weeks. There was no bedrest or anything. The girl was 6lbs 12 oz and the boy was 6lbs 5 oz. Best of luck.
