So we transferred 2 high grade 4 cell embies this morning. I was hoping they would be 6-8 cell by now but RE didn't seem too concerned so I'm trying not to worry and read a bunch online about it. We transferred early in the morning so he said he would expect them to be 6-8 if the had 6-8 more hours. I'm telling myself the embies are back where they are supposed so what better place to grow, right?

The RE was comfortable transferring 3 but DH and I didn't want that. We are completely comfortable with the idea of twins but triplets scared us a little bit. I'm proud we stuck to our plan rather than giving in in the moment in hopes it would help our chances. Now we are home, resting and watching lots of college football! Thanks for your t&ps... Not sure how much I'll be around over our 2ww be because I'm going to try to stay busy. We have our first beta on Sept. 19th!

Good luck. I think it is wise that you stay busy.

Congrats on being PUPO!!! Sounds like you transferred some beautiful embies. Update us periodically on here. We can keep you busy . Are you going to POAS before your beta? It's amazing how fast those embies can divide. On my 2nd IVF they split and turned into a morula within the 2hrs it took us to drive to the clinic for the transfer. Your body is the best place for them to be.

    Tiffany- Thanks!

Meg- Thanks.. your post made me feel better! I haven't decided if I will POAS before the beta or not. I have two FRER tests sitting in my bathroom cupboard so I suspect it will be difficult not to test before my first beta, but at the same time, I don't want to be discouraged days before my beta if they are in fact negative. I'd rather have a solid answer once rather than wonder for a couple days.

We are trying to be positive without getting too hopeful, which many of you know, is a difficult mix. I cannot wait until tomorrow when I can go to work- being on bed rest only lends itself to constant contemplation about this whole process!

I not a huge a POAS pusher. I didn't on my 2nd cycle but on my 3rd I did because I just knew it didn't work. I was really busy helping my sister with her wedding during the 2WW of my 2nd cycle. I'm sure you'll have days or moments where you felt it work and then times where you are sure it didn't. Completely normal.

There were days when I felt better about it. There were days I was sure it didnt work. I didnt POAS until I had sx unmistakeable for me for pregnancy. Namely, I HAD to take a nap at 4pm and I am usually an energizer bunny. It was easier for me to know I did all I could regardless of the outcome. It is not like the worrying ends when/if there is a positive pregnancy test (for me at least). What are your plans for the next 2 weeks?

Another reason why I didn't POAS my 2nd cycle was because I wanted to be, or at least think I was, pregnant for as long as possible. I really didn't even want to go in for my beta because I knew it'd all be over if it was negative.

Meg - It is funny how we all deal with the stress of a 2ww differently. It was always easier for me to assume I wasn't and start to make plans like I wasn't. It was too much of a let down if I thought or acted like I was...
