E2 update....

Monday (after 2 days of stimming) was 58 and today (after 4 days of stimming) I am at 160RE said he is ok since I am more than doubling but I am still on the low end.

So I continue with 300 gonal f, 150 menopur and 5 lupron. I go in Friday for first us and more blood work. Let's hope there is a good jump in my levels!! Would be so sad if cycle was cx....

Rachel

It is so hard to not obsess about numbers, esp since we have no control at all. With the RE that I did my first 2 cycles with they never told me my numbers so there was no way to obsess. With my last cycle with a different RE they told me my numbers so I obsessed way more. You may be surprised on Friday and have a jump and lots of follies pop up.

Hang in there and take one day at a time :bigarmhug:

Hi Rachel! Yeah for your numbers going up Smile I know it's hard... Like Meg said, take it one day at a time. I'll pray that you have TONS of good looking follies on Friday and your number jumps even higher.

I'm glad your RE is still positive about your increase. Do you know how many follicles you have and their sizes? I would look at that just as much as the E2 levels. Are they checking both at the same time?

So far just blood (Monday and Wednesday), I go in tomorrow for my first US and more blood. Looking forward to see what the us shows...I feel like I have 2 bricks in there. Things are getting heavy and I feel twinges so I know they are cookin'....:D

I was a slow responder when I did IUI's too, usually would get 3-4 good sized follies. But I know with IVF they want more than that. I am praying I can get to at least 6 good sized ones and hope that 2 make it to be transferred. Which means that I would more than likely have to do a 3dt. I know a 3 day isnt bad but I, in my head was hoping for a 5 day. Not even sure why...

Starting to get overwhelmed again...the shots must be working!!! Wink

Remember...quality over quantity. You could have 3 great eggs retrieved or have 12 crappy ones retrieved. We always want more because it is more reassuring to have "extras" in case we aren't successful the 1st time. Sounds good that you can feel twinges and are starting feel heaviness so something must be happening in there.

Very true Meg and I have to be honest, speaking from experience here (please don't take this wrong since I tend to be an over reponder to meds) but there is a down side to producing TOO many follicles too. After you are done having kids and having all the leftover embryos - you are faced with the dilemma of what to do next. So sometimes, its nice to not have that choice to make.

If you are feeling it already - I bet you have a good amount in there. Are you on the same doses you took while doing IUIs?

Exactly!! I was always a poor responder. With my last cycle we only had the one to transfer and it was a sense of relief that if it did work, we wouldn't have to figure out what to do with the frozen embies since we only wanted on child.

That is very true and I have thought about that. I just want the chance to get to the transfer point. I was on 150 gonal f was i did my IUI and no menopur. My appointment is at 11:30 tomorrow so I will keep you posted...

Fingers crossed!!!

So I would think (being a resident in thinking about IVF, LOL) that the bump in doses and meds that you definitely are having a better response this time.

Looking forward to your update.
