First E2 result...

I started stimming on Saturday. Today I had my first E2. The nurse called with my E2 from this morning. Ready...49, seriously UGH!! I am doing MDL and she said they would like to see it around 150/200.

Last IVF cycle I was 58 and we were still able to get 8 eggs at ER, although it didnt work either. She said I am a slow stimmer, was even when doing IUI's. Last cycle I stimmed or 11 days. Still it is sad/depressing/frustrating...I am to continue my lurpon, 300 gonal F, 150 menopur and I am on a steriod. I go back Wednesday for next blood draw and Friday for blood and U/S.

Since I am already taking the highest dose of Gonal F and Menopur (RE said you can take more but studies have shown it typically doesnt make a difference) I will just continue to stim. Part of me thinks slow and steady is best way to go, plus I am 37 so I wouldnt expect I would get 15+ like some women do but starting off the same way I did last cycle makes me VERY nervous since it turned out to be a BFN.

I will keep you posted!!

Sorry to hear things are off to a slow start :bigarmhug:. I really believe slow and steady wins the race. My 1st two cycles my RE stimmed me with really high doses really fast. My last cycle (new RE) he kept backing off my doses and stimmed me longer. I think it lets the little guys catch up with the bigger ones. Hopefully things will pick up after stimming longer.

I know, and you're right Meg. Honestly if this wasnt such an important thing to me, it would also be comical...49!! I am not going to stress about it, it is what it is.

Hope all is well with you!! I really appreciate all your support!!

Sorry to hear the E2 wasn't were they want it. When I did my one and only IVF I was on the highest dosage of Bravelle and Menopur and stimmed for what felt like forever.

I'm sorry you're feeling frustrated with your E2 results. Like Meg said hopefully having a longer steady stim phase will help you grow more mature follicles in the end.

Forgot to add...the first 2 cycles where I stimmed really fast I only had 5 and 6 mature eggs. With my last cycle where I stimmed slower and longer I had 10 mature eggs. I stilled had fertilization issues, but that had nothing to do with the stimming.

I don't know yet. My first ultrasound will be tomorrow. I am already feeling bloating and tugging so hopefully there is something going on down there

I'm sorry to hear about your E2... mine is usually about that so I know how frustrating that can be. I hope you have lots of follies tomorrow at your u/s Smile

After 6 days of stimming I have a whopping 3 follicles that are between 10-13 mm. I have 4 more that are 6-8 mm. He is hoping some of the other 4 will catch up. I will continue to stim probably through Tuesday and still hope to have my ER on Friday 5/6. Should have my E2 results back this afternoon. Wednesdays number was 140 so he said today should be at least 280-300.

I keep telling myself, I am AMA and slow and steady wins the race, but honestly I am starting to even annoy myself!

Just in case I havent told you lately...I HATE YOU IF!!! ROFL

Hopefully stimming a little longer will give the smaller ones time to catch up. My last RE decreased my dose a little after each u/s and blood draw. I think this allowed them to catch up.

I HATE IF ALSO, BUT I DIDN'T LET IT WIN!!! Even though we made the decision to be done, we still kicked it's a**!!
