Any thoughts on ths:
I have been doing research on how much HCG should be taken based on BMI. My RE has me taking 10000 shot. Some things say BMI has does not affect the amount of HCG and some say it does. According to this site http://www.ivf1.com/ivf-hcg-trigger/
I could take 15000. I will ask him but just wondering....
I really have no idea about this. I know my last cycle my RE had me trigger with 10000U then 12 hrs later trigger with another 5000U. It had nothing to do with my BMI. I was having problems getting mature eggs so he did the 2nd trigger to give them another boost seeing if that would mature them more.
IVF #1-cancelled d/t embryos arresting before transfer (3/09)
IVF #2-BFP 9wks-7/30/09 (6/09)
IVF #3-BFN (5/10)
my bmi at the time of our ivf was 33.6
I used one ovridel shot which is the same as 10,000 hcg from what i remember. With my IUI's I was around 30 bmi and I used HCG 10,000 each time for trigger and that was with a different clinic.
I do wonder about that as well, if it might have helped the quality of my eggs. I do however have total trust in my RE at the last clinic, he's top in my province.
