    Default HPT/poss evap hell**update 7/30**

I'm going nuts and I need some words of wisdom. You ladies always seem to know the right thing to say.

I POAS (FRER) this morning (7dp6dt of one frozen embie - not sure what grade - RE said 25-30% chance of success). I got the faintest of faint lines. It's so faint I can't tell if it has any color or not. I think I see some pink but I'm not sure if it's just wishful thinking. It showed up just after the three minute mark. About 36 hours ago, I took a Answer that had a super faint line after several hours (within minutes of taking it there seemed to be a line that disappeared if I looked directly at it) and I think it has pink to it. In all my years of TTC (about 11), I've never had an evap. Is it possible to get two now? And if they were real BFPs, shouldn't the one today be darker?

I know there's nothing to do but wait. I'm just so frustrated. With my successful fresh cycle, I got a BFP at 5dp5dt although I didn't realize it until 7dp5dt. (I thought it was negative and put it away and when I tested two days later and got a faint line I pulled it out to make sure the first was negative to make sure i wasn't seeing results of the trigger and it had a faint pink line.)

I'm trying to stay calm and think positively, but I'm so cranky to begin with and this uncertainty is not helping. I do not want to work today.

Thanks for listening. I hope everyone has a great day!

I really don't know anything about HPT. I was never a POASer so I don't have any experience. Can you post a pic? I think I remember hearing other ladies who had a FET that took a while to get a positive. I think it takes them a little longer to implant. I remember them always having lower beta numbers, but in the end it all turned out well. I'm sure this waiting game is h*ll on you. When is your beta?

I am a POAS addict and I never had evaps. For my one successful cycle I had an "is that a line?" on an IC. I showed it to my husband who said, "I don't really see anything, but let's go get another test." We bought a 2 pack of FRER and a digital. I came home and POAS. There was a very faint line on the FRER. So, I used the digital and saw "pregnant." Of course I didn't stop POAS. It's true that they don't necessarily get darker. My first beta was 82 and I still had very light lines on FRER. If you didn't test out your trigger shot there's a chance that it's still a line from the trigger, but I don't think FRER are known for evaps. I hope this is a true positive for you!!!

It is POSSIBLE to get an evap but I think if you continue to test you will see its a BFP.

With this pg I got a light positive ad tested everyday for about 10-12 days. I even tested a few weeks ago and it was faint. So you can't really go by the color of the dye. I'd swing by your closest drug store, pick up a FRER and test again later today.

    Good luck!!!

Have you been peeking at my FRERs?? I took one today and I swear there was a ghost of a line, but it totally would be there one second and gone the next. I really want to do another one, but I will be strong (although I don't know why I'm starting that now) and not test until tomorrow morning.

Here is what I do-look at it close up, then far away, then flat, then tilted a little bit, then by a window, then under a lamp. Then I put it down for 10 minutes or so and do all of that again. If you follow my advice, you will drive yourself so nuts that you will forget what you were even doing and can move on with your day.

I hear you about work. I'm in a retail setting, so being nice to everyone is a real stretch right now. I am feeling pretty anti-social.

Here's the latest. Took a Dollar Tree test tonight - snow white BFN. I didn't take pics of the other two this morning because I thought they'd be too faint to show, but they are now darker than they were this am, so I snapped a pic.

    Untouched -

    Adjusted saturation -

It looks like only the one from today showed up, but IRL the top one (from two days ago) is more visible than it was and definitely lighter than today's.

Meg - Thanks. I thought I remembered hearing that, too, but I was afraid I was making it up to make myself feel better. I feel better knowing I'm not the only one who thought that!

Mrs. Doolittle - Thanks for sharing your story. I didn't do a trigger, so I'm not worried about that and I'm glad that FRERs aren't known for evaps. That's one of the reasons I pay the extra $$$ - hoping for a more reliable result.

Jen - I sure hope you're right! And how funny that you're still getting faint lines! WTF is that all about?

Rachel - I haven't scheduled my beta yet, but I'm planning on the Friday 5th. With my patient schedule it would be too hard to get there Thursday the 4th in the morning and that's the earliest they'll let me I'd do it tomorrow if I could!

Brenda - I swear we must be twins separated at birth or something! To satisfy my pm POAS urge, I'm using the Dollar Tree cause they're so cheap I don't mind wasting them on diluted pee. I'm saving the good ones for morning tests. I bought another Answer two pack today. (hangs head in shame)
And your ritual sounds suspiciously like mine except I also use a magnifying glass. That's right - I said magnifying glass. Anyone doubt I'm certifiable now???
Antisocial is a good word for it. I just want to lay on my couch, eat everything in sight, and watch bad TV. It doesn't help that I'm a hospice nurse, so after my visits I feel like a worthless person for whining and crying and complaining about trying to have a baby when these people are trying to cope with dying. It's very humbling. But there is now way I could do retail right now. I WOULD get fired. Those people have no excuse for being crabby. At least the people I work with have a reason to get an attitude. I used to do retail and almost got fired several times for telling people where to go stick it and that was before I ever started IF treatments. If they could see me now! My hats off to you for having the strength to deal with the public at large.

I'll be POASing in the morning. I'll KYP!

Carolyn...I can definantely see a line on the bottom stick. I also read somewhere that IF is just as hard on a person as a cancer dx or even a death. So you have a right to feel the way you do even though you are dealing with dying pts all day. I'm a nurse (but not working now) and if I were to ever go back to work full time, I'd love to be a hospice nurse. I'm a hospice volunteer and it is very rewarding.

Thanks, Meg. I really love what I do. One of my patients is only 39 and has three small children. She has such a strong spirit and I really admire her. Thank you so much for volunteering. You guys make a huge difference.
