I'm new on this board as I just found out that IVF is probably our only option at conceiving the second time around.
A little background on me. I'm 31 and DH and have a wonderful 2 year old daughter. We started TTC about 14 months ago. At 12 months trying I went in and had an ultrasound. They found a large cyst that they thought was endometriosis on my right ovary. I had the surgery to remove it a week ago today. Unfortunately there were alot more problems that what we initially thought. I had a lot of pelvic scarring from the endometriosis and my right fallopian tube had to be removed. Not only that, but my left fallopian tube seems to be non-functioning as well. My ovaries are now both fine and I do have egg reserves. I was told by the doc that our only option is IVF and we are getting a referral to a few RE's on Thursday at my post-op. I know next to nothing about IVF besides the basics and I'm concerned about the financial ramifications as well. Our insurance does not cover fertility issues besides maybe some diagnostic stuff.
Just looking for some support and information. Thanks ladies!
