FIRST PART OF ULTRASCREEN (with pics)
WHOOOOHOOOOOO!!!! Both babies looking great!! Actually measuring a few days ahead - one at 12wks3dys and one 12wks2dys. All looks normal! Baby B (must be a boy) was sooo active again - did a few flips for our viewing pleasure - too cute! If bloodwork comes back good we may not even risk having an amnio. I really feel like this a miracle - after so, so many abnormal eggs to get two good ones to stick is truly miraculous. I am beside myself. We've now told all immediate family - I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed right now and drained. It's all good though. I tried to shrink the pics - hope they're not too big.
Bloodwork Results - finally
They just love to keep you waiting for these nerve wracking results - but finally ...
Twin A - 1 in 601 chance of Downs and 1 in 1063 chance of Trisomy 18;
Twin B - 1 in 400 chance of Downs and 1 in 1061 chance of Trisomy 18.
They said these were normal results - all good. I think 1 in 200 and less is considered positive chance for Downs so I'm feeling pretty good about these results - especially being over 40. DH has been very adamant about not having the amnio so I think we will probably not so it.
Today is 13 wks! The belly has gotten very difficult to hide over this past week. Not so sure yet when I will tell everyone at work but it may have to be soon. :)
