I know that feeling all too well!! Congratulations on having a healthy bean so far! Time really does seem to drag in the first trimester. The tww is very hard, but I thought the first tri was just as hard, if not harder! It's much more stressful, once you know you are responsible for a living being growing inside of you.

I can't wait to stalk you!

Hi guys, I'm new here. (For the full story, see my thread on first IVF at 41.)

I am 4wks 6 days pregnant after my first IVF. My first ultrasound is scheduled for July 14 and the wait is killing me. I'm dying to know how many embryos stuck. I had four nice embryos transferred on June 13.

I find myself going from being confident that the cramps I'm feeling are normal to being scared of m/c. Somehow I think I'll feel a whole lot better if I can see the pregnancy on ultrasound. How did you deal with the wait?

Congrats Joojoobee!! After a tough journey to get pregnant, it's so hard to just sit and wait for these appointments to check on the little bean(s).

    Cramps are definitely normal!

I have no good advice on how to handle the wait... I just kept telling myself "OK, I am pregnant today." and just kept not trying to focus too much on tomorrow. But honestly, it didn't work real well.

I'll be excited for your U/S to see how many little ones you have in there!!

    YAY Joojoobee!!! Congratulations!

I had cramps off and on for the entire first trimester, but the most severe were in the first eight weeks. I never had any bleeding, so I just kept telling myself it was ok, it was my uterus growing and stretching, and reminding myself that the nurse said cramps are more common with IVF patients.

As for waiting it out, it is definintely hard. I did the same thing Michelle is doing - telling myself that "I'm pregnant today, which has been my dream, so I'm going to enjoy it today." It worked sometimes, but not always. My fears would grab hold of me at night when I'd go to bed and it was hard to shake them.

Good luck with your ultrasound!!! KUP!

    Hi ladies!
I had a great US today!!! The baby was measuring right on time, and heart rate was 137. I get to be relieved today. Tomorrow, back to worrying.

Thanks Jana! I did get a pic, but I'm not quite talented when it comes to tech stuff, so I don't know how to scan it.

I forgot to mention, I graduated! My dr. gave me a nice card with the ultrasound pic and told me I was graduating to my OB. I know from stalking all of you guys that I will feel weird without all of the monitoring.

A little off topic, but where do you guys get all of those neat tickers? I have a basic one, but your big black ones are so nice.

Congrats, KMichelle!!! I don't know how to do those other type of tickers, but there's a website in the lower right corner of them. I'd start there.

When did you "graduate"? Was it your first ultrasound?

Can anyone tell me how long you did the Progesterone in oil? When do we graduate from that?

    And thanks, Christi!

Joojoobee - I just "graduated" yesterday at my second U/S (7 weeks).

I don't do Progesterone in Oil, but my progesterone suppositories stop at 10 weeks.

Joojoobee ~ I didn't do the oil shots either, but progesterone suppositories 2x a day. I stopped them at 12 weeks. I was soooo happy to be off of those nasty things!

Michelle ~ I got my ticker from www.pregnology.com. You can add a title and change the font color. Congrats on graduating to your OB! I didn't actually graduate until I was 12 weeks because I was part of a progesterone study. It is definitely weird not having all the monitoring.
