So I must have been wrong! I was very perusative and we DTD. It did not hurt and I am not sure why I was so scared. No spotting or anything. Pregnancy has made it kinda awesome. TMI!!! LOL....

My inlaws came by tonight. My belly is huge and it was already seeing alot of hands... I dont mind. It is kindof cute.

We went and looked at new cars today too. I have a tahoe, but I am not trying to get a car seat in and out of that thing because you have to step up in it. I think that I am going to get a arcadia for a few years then go back to the tahoe.

We have a cookout at church tomorrow and we are announcing the pregnancy, there is really no way to hide it now. Is anyone else huge? I thought is was because I was swollen, but I am already feeling better. Maybe it is all the groceries that I am consuming.... It is kind of embarassing... because people are like how far along are you? You having twins or something... I have an inverted uterus and all my weight has gone to my boobs and belly...

    How is everyone? Weekend plans????

    You are too funny, Candice!!

My 1sttri u/s screening is in 1 week! Can't wait to see baby again. I have been really nauseated again...which reassures me, but also really wears me down. I'm with Christi...can't wait to be out of the 1st tri!!

LOL Candice. Glad you had fun I don't know if it's the pg hormones or the fact that it's not a scheduled bd, but it's definitely more enjoyable now.
It's funny that you're trying to downgrade while I'm looking for bigger cars. I'm not a big car person, so even though we're gonna need it, I'm kinda struggling with buying a big car. We take our dog everywhere we go, so 2 car seats and a dog = BIG car.

How did the announcement at your church go? I'm sure you had a lot more people rubbing your belly.

We spent the weekend redoing our bedroom. The babies' room is currently the office, so we need to put our office things in our bedroom before thinking about doing the nursery. So right now my house is a mess. I don't know how I'll be able to get some energy to work on that after work, but it needs to be done.

Augusta, sorry you're feeling sick again. When's the first trimester over? At 12 weeks or 14 weeks? Either way it won't be long.
I also have my 1st trimester screening next week. Monday to be exact. I'm so excited about this because the doppler last week left me a little confused and also they told me they were gonna spend a long time looking in there since they're twins

How fun, Dani, our 1st tri screenings are the same day! I bet with twins they do have to spend a while checking everything...you will probably feel like a science experiment when you are finished being pregnant All the poking and prodding and checking!

I think 13 weeks is the end of the 1st tri...I am okay with being sick b/c I know it is a good sign and it will soon be over...I am surviving on strawberry-banana smoothies and KFC mashed potatoes and tums!! Hubby keeps trying to get me to eat meat (as he did in my 1st pregnancy)....yuck!!!!! And, I am normally a sushi and medium-rare filet girl!! Can't stomach meat when I am pregnant.

Ayone else having cravings or aversions?

Almost there Augusta!!! First trimester will be over soon for you!!!!!
I do not want fish at all!!! I have been eating everything else and then some. My husband calls me princess..... I told him I was princess piggy and he said no princess preggy... Too cute...

I chickend out and did not tell the whole class. A few people did ask so I spilled the beans. Maybe next Sunday.

I know about downsizing!! LOL!! This is my 2nd tahoe and I told my husband that everyone probably thinks I am silly. It is really hard to get a car seat into a tahoe. I have done it and it sucks. I will go back to it in a few years. I like driving big cars.... The acadia is still a nice size. 7 to 8 passengers. I really like them. They are level so you can just put the car seat in instead of jumping up in the car with a car seat, tahoes are tall!

    I had a strawberry-banana smoothie last saturday...Yummy!
So far, I have no cravings...I think. Lately, I've been preferring to eat things that do not require so much chewing. After eating all day, I'm tired of chewing
And it seems I'm eating almost anything that's in front of me. I'm hungry all.the.time. I told this to my nurse last week, and immediately she frowned and said I had to be careful with sweets. And when I told her that I don't eat sweets, but lots of fruits she told me that it's still sugar and not to eat too much of it. Crazy. I've read everywhere that fruits are a great source of fiber and awesome to avoid constipation, which I truly don't want. It's not like I only eat fruits all day, just for snacks

Candice ~ I still chicken out about telling people the news. I've only told a couple of people...the rest has been DH or my family. After such a long time trying, it still feels weird to say it.

Dani, your nurse sounds crazy!! Fruit should be good for you, like you said. I could see if you told her you ate a pint of Ben and Jerry's for lunch every day.

Hubby has a Tahoe and it is harder to get baby/toddler into/out of the car seat. I have a Traverse and it is great for that.

Yes an acadia is just like a traverse... only GMC instead of chevy. I still may get a traverse... they are a little cheaper, but for some reason DH is the one that wants the GMC..... Men....

Woo-hoo!! 12 weeks today! One more week until the 2nd trimester!!

For all of the 1st time moms, I thought I would share my favorite books that people passed on to me:
    1. Baby Bargains...by far the "bible" of what to buy, product ratings, etc. I just bought the latest edition since they update it every 2 years. Really helpful when picking a crib (lead paint, recall history, etc) and when you register (what do I need? can be overwhelming!).

    2. Your Pregnancy Week by Week....I liked this better than What to Expect b/c it gave more info for each week, and it was fun to read a couple pages for each week.

    3. What to Expect When You're Expecting...this I liked because it had more overall information.

    4. What to Expect the First Year...Really helpful when you are tired and wondering why baby is doing something weird.

    5. Jenny McCarthy's books....just because they are funny!

    6. Happiest baby on the Block...talks about the "4th Trimester" and the 5 "S" method to get baby to settle down, etc.

Any other ones people want to recommend? I am always looking for a new book. I just bought A Child is Born to show Gabe what the baby looks like inside my tummy, so we'll see if that is a good one.
