Wow everyone seems to be doing so great. Leah is doing so great and I can't believe Gianna will be 3 in like 6 weeks. We are actually doing great with the potty training, FINALLY. She went all day today and even wore her panties to nap. She got up dry and went right to the toilet. Of course we still have our pee on the floor days but we're getting there.

Hey everyone, I haven't had a chance to catch up with the other IVF mamas here yet -- Cheryl, I can't believe Gianna will be 3 soon!!! And same for your little ones, Jen (Brady)!! Wow, time flies. I have to find a way to post pics directly on here... it's been years since I've done that, so if you all have a hint, let me know.
Julia is 2 years, 4 months now, and we're very slowly working on potty training. We may try a little more active approach over Thanksgiving, since DH and I and family will be around to help her out. Right now she's going to daycare 3 days/week so I can work on my PhD dissertation, but I may need to bump that up to 4 days if I want to graduate by spring. She does like it there, though some days she still says, "No school, mommy, I want to stay home."
I joined a first-time moms group through my birth center a few weeks after Julia was born, and we all bonded so well that we all still see each other nearly every week. It's part playgroup, part mom's group. But with five moms, four of which have by now had their second babies, it gets to be a raucous gathering. None of them have dealt with IVF themselves, they all just got pg naturally. So it's been interesting seeing them one-by-one get pregnant and deliver their second babies, while with us it's a much different process. I told them last week that we were going ahead with using our one frozen embryo, and they're all very excited and also very curious about the process. But I'm glad I have them for support this time around, because when I got pg with Julia we kept everything so secret throughout most of the process, and it was a very lonely time.
It does amaze me, though, how quickly I forgot about the IVF ordeal once I got pg, let alone once I had Julia in my arms! It's been interesting to feel the excitement and nervousness that comes up since I've been going back to the IVF clinic to start this round. I do hope that this time around it'll be much less difficult than it was when we conceived Julia.
Anyway, just wondered if anyone who's had more than one child with IVF (or is trying for their second after IVF) can relate in a way...

Emma just finally potty trained. As hard as it was waiting for her to be FINALLY ready, it was so much easier because she really did it herself. No accidents, just started wearing panties and that's it. Now we wait for Sean! Now that could be awhile LOL! He just isn't aware of when he has to go. But now that she is all done, I can move on to him.

I should check this thread more often. Julie- congratulations!

My second IVF was a tad easier but still full of the same fears that "what if it doesn't work?". Having Gianna really helped keep my mind off of it most of the time, that was so great. Good luck with IVF #2. Very exciting!
Gianna still sleeps in a pull up but at least she knows when she has to go during the day. If she pees in her panties, she gets time out for two minutes then we put a new pair on.....this is very rare these days though. Going #2 is still a challenge, it all depends if she wants to go on the potty or not.
