Hi ladies!

Unfortunately due to the load times involved affecting members who are still on dial-up, the maximum number of posts allowed per thread has been set at 1000. This post is for all of you pregnant mommies to discuss your pregnancies. After a weekend of agonizing pain I decided to call my OB yesterday. He wanted to see me strait away to check everything out.

Good news is the fetus is fine. Heart beating beautifully, growing at the appropriate rate etc. I didn't even need to have a trans-vag scan. He was concerned that the fetus may have been in a bad way, but as soon as we saw it we knew all was fine.

Bad news, ovaries are stuffed. Left one is 20cm (7.9 in) in diameter. Right one is 25cm (9.8 in) in diameter. That makes them more than 10 times the size of the fetus (each!) at the moment.

There isn't much he can do about it.

At the moment I have to keep up with the OHSS routine, keep fluids up, rest (hahahaha, yer, that's possible!), manage pain and keep a very close eye on things. Apparently it can still go from me being sore, to being in a life threatening situation pretty quickly.

I've been given some strong pain meds and am seeing him again next week. He is an amazing doctor, he has decided to bulk bill me and see my every week until I am at least 20 weeks. That's a HUGE saving. Considering it's like $100 an appt. I didn't even ask about being bulk billed.

I am struggling to walk, my sciatic nerve is impinged by my ovary. I feel like I have hot knives threaded through my pelvis. At least the fetus is fine. That's fantastic news.

Wow, Em, poor you! I had OHSS and it was not fun but it was nowhere as bad as what you are describing. Great to hear how amazing you dr. is being! Please take care and ps. congrats on miracle #2!! :)

They can still see that i have leftover follies on my sonos, but they dont really bother me!

I only have about 3 months to go. I can hardly wait to meet these babies!

Heather- I am doing much better now. Still feel queasy a lot of times, but nothing like before. I only have about 4 months and I cant wait to meet my girls!

Oh Tamika I am so glad you are better! It is good to hear from you. I love the names you have chosen! We can not seem to agree on names. I am afraid we will still be going back and forth in the hospital.

Heather ~ When are you due? We're working on getting the list updated and you aren't on it :(

I am due Feb. 9th but because it is twins my doctor won't let me go past Jan. 26th, if I can carry them that long. Thanks for putting me on the list.

Hello ladies, I am so excited to finally be pregnant. After many years of trying naturally, it took IVF (1st time) to get this far. Thank God!!! I'm sure you all can relate to my excitement, when you've wanted something so bad and now you finally have it. Yet it still hasn't sunk in until recently. I was worried the 1st three month, but i'm now in the safe (safer zone)... So i'm hoping its smooth sailing from now on. My due date is April 21st.
