This is so weird - I had to POAS today and I felt so calm about it. Normally I am stressing and eager and just freaked out. Some times I'm hoping for a bfn for DH's sake and some times I am secretly hoping for a bfp But today - I just didn't care which way it went. (It was a bfn, btw) I had to test so I can start a new Rx for migraines that isn't safe during pregnancy.

Anyone else ever test and think you would be happy with either outcome?

I did! I had to take a BPT before I started my first IVF cycle. I was like, if it's positive - "YAY! I'm pregnant!" If it's not, then "YAY! I get to start my IVF cycle!" It actually WAS a BFP, which surprised the heck out of everyone.

But overall, I think BFN's still suck. Boo!

Ha, I totally meant to post that on the other grad thread, oh well.

Yeah - I usually hate them, even if I am hoping for one.

Hi guys, after 5 nights in hospital I'm home with my son!

I'll type up my birth story at some stage, but it went from being REALLY good to being REALLY bad in the space of a couple of hours. I had an emergency cesarean and Marcus Terrence Patrick was born at 7.40 pm on the 18th May @ 37 weeks 4 days, weighing 3.45 kg. (7lb 10oz I think). I can't get over how tiny he is. Yeah, that sounds crazy, but we were thinking we'd have a 10lb er. He is a full kg lighter than Sophia was. His growth really did dramatically slow, stop even in those last couple of weeks.

He is doing brilliantly, came out kicking and screaming. He's feeding like a PRO! WOOOOOO! He's doing so much better at BFing than S did. He hasn't had anything other than my milk/colostrum. I'm so proud.

I'm taking it slowly. The labor was very very difficult on my pelvis. One day at a time is all I can do.

    anyway, enough waffle... pictures:

    I adore this photo

Hooray, Em!!! He is simply gorgeous, how wonderful that he's so healthy and feeding so well. Fantastic! And I'm sorry the labor was so tough on your pelvis, I hope you've had some relief already now that Marcus is out of there...

    Welcome Marcus!!!

Marcus is such a beautiful baby!!! Look at that much blond hair! And though you say he's little, he certainly looks chunky and healthy. Congrats! All those hard last weeks were so worth it!
