Lots of boys! I'm not sure why people think that we would be unhappy with a boy, but I've encountered that, too. I'm thrilled to be pregnant with a healthy baby. Period. And if we're blessed enough to have another I'll be thrilled with another boy or a girl.

Had my 34 week appointment yesterday. One more u/s to check his size at 36 weeks and then we'll be on to weekly appointments. I can't believe we're getting so close to meeting our little boy. Even with my big ol' belly and being able to feel parts (butt and feet mostly) this all seems surreal.

Beth, have you had your belly jerk from left to right yet? That was always fun when I was at work and in a meeting...it amused me You are SO CLOSE now!!

Andi, you poor dear with no AC...I could not imagine. I am glad you have the pool at least...remember, there's nothing wrong with an "adult swim" time in the baby pool

Dani, I don't think you are being hormonal...but lucky-you for an u/s every 4 weeks...I am jealous...that is, until I think about all of the dirty diapers you will be changing...I'll stick to taking the babies one at a time

For the Americans, have a happy 4th of July weekend!

When I did IVF there were several of us pg at once and it seemed like the majority of us had boys. Its funny how it worked out that way. My dh thinks that IVF produces more boys than girls.

Beth - I'm so excited for you! What a long journey you've had and now you're so close! In some ways, time is creeping by, but in others, I look at people's tickers and I can't believe how fast it's going! Like, you're going to give birth soon! That's just crazy talk to me.

Dani - YAY for u/s every four weeks! I would have been a little ticked off if I had to worry all morning for no reason. Don't those docs know how hormonal we are? I sometimes wonder if the OBGYNs understand and appreciate how extra looney the IVF patients are?

Andi - Thank GOODness the weather cooled off for you. I was literally sitting in my air-conditioned house this weekend and thinking about you. Hope it stays cool for you!

AFM, nothing much to report. My morning sickness has been coming back a little bit, but nothing like weeks 10-12. My BIG appt is scheduled for July 28th! It can't get here fast enough! (although the OB said he already saw what he thinks are boy parts...)

Christi...I can't believe you're just a few weeks away from The Big U/S!!! Can't wait to see what's between your baby's legs! Maybe I should re-word that.

Beth ~ I can't believe how close you are! It seems like just yesterday (to me any way) that you got your BFP! You will be olding your baby in just a couple of short weeks!!!! How exciting!

Christi ~ I really hope your morning sickness doesn't get the best of you. That is great news about schduling your gender scan though! Definitely something to look forward to!

AFM ~ My next dr's appt is Monday the 12th. I'm hoping they schedule my gender scan before I leave, which I'm sure they will. I probably won't be able to do it until the week of August 9th though. I'm going on vacation from July 24-31. I finally received my $1500 check in the mail this weekend for the progesterone study I participated in! Now if I could find out the gender, I could start buying stuff!!!

Wow, Christi and Jana, your pregnancies are flying by! So excited that you're planning your BIG u/s soon!

Well, our break in weather was short-lived -- it was at least 102 degrees here yesterday and today they're predicting 99 for my town (though Philly's above 100 again). UGH. We went out Monday night and bought two more window AC units for our downstairs and they pretty much run constantly all day. I don't think we could make it otherwise!

Got a call from England on the machine which we didn't hear before we woke up today (the AC unit in our room is loud) -- DH's grandmother passed away this morning. We were able to see her in the hospital during our trip, and apparently she went downhill pretty fast after our visit. I'm glad that she got to see Julia one last time -- she was so very happy to see her and cuddle her, and Julia gladly obliged. DH and I were just talking about what we'd do if his grandma passed away soon, but we didn't think it would be this soon. I don't think we'd all be able to afford to go over again right now, but I think DH would like to. So we'll see.... thanks for letting me share.

Andi - I'm so sorry for your loss, but glad she got to see Julia. Hope that you guys can figure out a way to go over there (or at least send DH over there). Losing family is so hard.

    Hi Everyone,
I'm still on the first trimester board, but lurking over here a little! Andi, I'm sorry about DH's grandmother. Hugs...

You all seem to be doing so well! It's exciting to read all of these gender updates and upcoming U/Ss!

The post on the IVF board about IVF and swimming freaked me out a little. I'm now 8 weeks along, and we're supposed to go to the lake next week. I then read on the internet that some pg women don't go in lakes because of fear of bacteria. Seems a little overboard to me, but I need a reality check from people who know what it's like to hope for such a long time to be pg, and then how protective you are when you get there!! Thoughts???
