Sounds great, Andi! The in-between stage is hard...is there any way you can do the rubber band trick with your suit pants and wear a nice tank (not tucked in) under your blazer? Or do you not have to wear a suit? Ugh, so hard being a girl

I am so nervous about this pregnancy....I don't remember being this nervous with G, but I thought we actually had twins in there and I had a high beta, so I was probably more nervous about the number of babies. Maybe I was this nervous. I just can't stop thinking about what the u/s in 10 days is going to show...I know my beta doubled, but it is still low in comparison...trying to not stress, but 10 days is a LONG way away right now!!

I don't know how anyone could make it through the first tri without being nervous! I'm just now starting to relax and believe that everything will be OK. I hope your u/s reassures you so you can enjoy being pregnant. When do you graduate from your RE?

AFM...Our level II u/s is this Thurs. Even though I think everything is fine with the baby (I'm feeling regular movement), I still worry. We missed the window of opportunity for the nt scan and haven't had an u/s since our 9 week u/s at the RE's. My DSS wants to go with us, but I'm scared to have him there in case something is wrong. I know it would be neat for him to see his brother/sister in utero and with everything it took to get pregnant this might be his only chance to see this, but I'm nervous.

I also found out that I have hydronephrosis which has been causing some pain. Basically my left kidney is enlarged. My GP's nurse was particularly unhelpful. She called with the results from an u/s of my upper abdomen last week and said "You've got hydronephrosis. Don't worry, it should clear up after the baby is delivered." OK, great. She didn't offer any explanation of what this is, why it would have started so early in my pregnancy, or anything useful. I assume my right kidney is OK because I haven't had any pain on that side, but she didn't even tell me that. They should be sending the results to my ob; his nurse said she would call after they get them. At this point I have no idea if/how this will be monitored.

I hear ya, Augusta -- I was so convinced this FET didn't work, and as things continued was still nervous until maybe a couple weeks ago. I'm not completely worry-free, but all still seems to be going well (more below)... so it gets a little easier each day.

Fortunately, music therapy conferences aren't suit-types of events -- my sister just suggested a nice tunic and leggings, which sounds perfect. So maybe I'll find something classy enough at Target tomorrow.

I can't wait to hear about your u/s, Beth! Just today at my NT scan I was wondering whether or not to bring DD and had the same thoughts you did -- what if something is wrong, so I really want her there? Then again, she came to my last u/s at the RE's where the chances of something being wrong were even greater, and that turned out to be a really lovely appt. I say, go with your gut. Do they really make videos of the u/s, btw? Or is that something you just see on TV? you could also wait until after the level II and then, knowing all is well, go to one of those boutique u/s places with your DSS. I'm also sorry you've got that kidney condition -- ugh, so the RN couldn't even tell you what to do for the pain, or what you can do in the meantime to help? I sure hope it's nothing too serious and that you're not in too much pain.

My NT scan (sequential screen) went well today -- too well, even -- as the little one measured 8 days ahead (!!!) compared to the due date I had from the RE. Based on today's measurements, they wanted to change the due date to 9/17. Which would have put conception date at 12/25, which is ridiculous because we know we transferred a 6-day blast on 1/7. The tech was really befuddled, though, because she didn't think the 9/25 date from the RE made any sense, she thought it could have been 9/24 based on the age of the embryo and the transfer date (though that date doesn't fit with my online EDD calculator), and she was trying to suggest it could have also been 9/30 which totally lost me. Since we have three other early u/s, we have more accurate dating measurements from there, but I'm pretty sure my midwives will stick with the EDD from the RE given the fact that it's a FET. But how weird! I'm a small person, so is DH, so why are we growing a little giant?!? I mean, 8 days ahead? Little one had been measuring a little ahead in all the u/s from the RE's, but nothing significant. Pretty crazy.

Beth, thanks for the comforting words...I guess you ALWAYS worry Very excited for you for your u/s tomorrow...it was so neat to see the baby at 18-20 weeks!!

Andi, I am glad you do not have to wear a suit!! That is crazy that you are both smaller and the baby is measuring big! Do you have tall genes anywhere else in your family?

I wish I had had a 3rd beta to set my mind at ease. I am actually praying for nausea to set my mind at ease, LOL!

    Okay Ladies,

I need "good beta" vibes...I called my RE and asked for a beta tomorrow since the numbers were low and I am just concerned...a good beta will set my mind at ease until the u/s on 3/26. Really, I promise! I am nervous, and hopefully over-reacting, but just really worried my numbers were lower.

Sending high beta vibes to you, Augusta!!! I'm glad the RE is willing to run another to put you at ease. Can't wait to hear the #s!

As to whether there are "big" genes in my family ... well, way back on my mom's side there's some 6-foot-tall guys, but my mom and I are both only 5 feet tall, and no one since those grandparents have been that tall. So who knows! Some women on the Sept board say that sometimes these little ones have growth spurts and then slow down, and that it all comes out fine in the end. So hopefully it's something like that.

I feel so relieved...beta #3 was 1871...doubling every 48 hours would have been at least 880...I think a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.....will stop worrying.
