Default OMG I'm so excited!!! (xp)

They called me today to set up IVF treatment!! They told me the entire process, with all these dates that I could barely scribble down and I just felt so overwhelmed. If you may recall...we just registered from IVF treatment Feb 15 and was told it was currently a 3-6 mth wait. It was only a 6 wk wait. I was one of the last charts they phoned for IVF treatment this cycle. I just took marvelon 21 tonight, bc pills - it's the first step in the process. The nurse at the fertility clinic made it sound like I should drop everything and go get them and take them RIGHT AWAY. I was like WHOA! I'm still working I'm not going until after work, after my run and after my dinner. So I took it at 9:30 pm...hope it doesn't mess things up too much. I can't believe I am finally starting this journey!!

Glad things are happening faster than expected. It's better to be told it's going to take longer and be surprised than be disappointed things are taking longer than you were told. I'm sure taking BCP's when you did isn't going to mess anything up. Good luck!!!

Yeah! what a nice surprise that you were able to get started sooner.

I just started BC 2 days ago and will be on it for 2-3 weeks, then start injections. It can be as soon as 2 weeks, but I need to figure out the best timing with stuff DH has going on at work. Might be closer to 3 for that reason. But, we will be doing our cycles really close together!

Right now I am thinking how lucky you are that you live in Canada. That is pretty awesome!

Yay - we are totally cycle buddies! I'm really glad, as this is my first time IVF and don't really know the terms or the process and I'm just overwhelmed by all these dates and things that they are gonna do or I'm gonna do.

Thanks everyone! I'm so happy to have this group to share with, as I haven't shared with too many others....just DH and a really good friend. Also, I'll let my sister know too. I am not eager to tell my parents, altho if it comes out I don't mind...just don't want to raise any expectations.

Neoncandle, why is it lucky I'm in Canada? I'm really not too familiar with fertility clinics in general since we just decided IVF in Jan and had all this testing for last 6 mths of 2012. We still have to pay for everything ourselves except for the drugs are covered under our extended health plans from work. Govt ain't coverin' a thing here!

NEVERMIND!! I feel so bad. I always thought there were so many Canadian ladies on here because your health system must cover IVF. That and you have waiting lists, what?!? Wow, boy do I feel stupid. Sorry about that.

Oh it's ok neoncandle, I just was surprised! I have to say tho, I was VERY surprised myself to discover that they have a waitlist since it's still very expensive.

So I am counting down the pills in my b/c pill pack LOL. 15 left to go!
