    Default Poas

    Hi All,

wondering when a good time is to start... I had a 5 day transfer of 2 blasts. Is 5dp 5dt too soon? I'm not sure I'm ready for this part. Ugh!

Have you tested out your trigger? I was never a POASer so idk when is a good time. All I know is you want to make sure your trigger is out. Someone on here will be able to give you an answer.

I didn't test out the trigger but tmrw will be 11.5 days past trigger and I read that it decreases by 1,000 hcg a day and since I had a 10,000 shot I figured I would be ok. I'm new to this. Even with IUIs I dud not poas, but I'm probably going to cave in on this ivf cycle.

With both of my cycles I waited until 8dp5dt. I may have gotten an earlier positive but I was too scared to try.

If you test today and get a faint line be sure to test every day after and see it get lighter - if its the trigger - or darker if its a BFP.

I think I waited at least 7 days post 5d transfer because I was worried about getting a false positive. Then I tested each morning after to make sure the test line was not fading.

With fresh cycle, I started at 5dp5dt to check for leftover trigger. Thought it was negative. Waited until 7dp5dt, got a faint positive, looked back at first one and saw a fainter line.

I agree with PP - if you get a faint line, just keep testing to see if it gets darker or lighter.

Good luck! Goodness knows this board needs some darn BFPs!!

Thanks for the feedback. I woke up at 1am last night and tested but neg. That would have been about 4.5dp 5dt. So I'm glad I did because I know the hcg trigger is gone. It's now the morning of 5dp5dt and I'll most likely wait until 7dp to try again.

That's good that you know that trigger is gone. Now you can start POAS like a madwoman with a clean slate! I can't remember how long I waited with my 1st cycle, but I think I started around 9dp3dt (I had more willpower then!) and got my BFP.

    Let the testing begin...

I'm glad I did it too. I want to wait until 7dp but I'm sure I'll wake up and just go for it anyway! My beta is Wed Aug 10, which would be 11dp5dt. I asked my RE when he thought I could get a + on hpt and he said not until when my beta is scheduled. I'm sure he is just trying to persuade me to wait for that.

I found this chart on another board. What do you ladies think?
