Did you ever want to change your name? If is to what?
I've never wanted to change my name but I've thought about wanting to change the spelling of it to Meghan. I had the chance to do it when we got married but I didn't. My parents chose the spelling of my name for a reason. My mom has mentioned that "Meghan" was a way they did think to spell it though.
I wanted to change my names as they are so old fashioned: Margaret Edith. I liked that my middle name was the same as one of my sisters (the one who passed away) but I hated Margaret. The only other Margaret's in school were teachers that were very old! Never did come up with a name that I wanted it changed to. My mom said that when she found out my middle name she knew I was meant for their family :D When I was reunited with my biological family I found out that I was named after my grandmothers so I am happy that I did not change it.
Sometimes I wish I had kept my maiden name... just liked it a lot better than my married one.
Tiffany
I've never even thought about it. I don't particularly like being called Stephanie...I much prefer Steph. My middle name is Anne, after my Great-Grandma Anne. I loved her so much and love that I'm named after her.
Margaret...I love old fashion names. You have a very pretty name. Child mentioned...our middle DD middle name is Margaret. I always wanted the name Charlotte or Scarlett as a child's name for a girl. That middle name would've been Lavinia after my great grandma.
@Meg- Charlotte was one of my baby names and my cousin who I am really close to just named his daughter Charlotte. He didn't know that it was one of our names. :( I just love that name though. Lavinia is pretty too. Have you ever watched "Downton Abbey"? One of the characters is Lavinia.
I've never watched Downtown Abbey. I always thought Lavinia was pretty. I always wanted a boy middle name to be Kirchner (pronounced "kirk-ner"). My other great-grandma's last name was Kirchner and that is my dad's middle name. There were no boys to carry on that name as a last name. I always like the names I picked out...Charlotte Lavinia and Beckham Kirchner...but I never got to use them. Child mentioned....the funny thing is that when I was younger I loved the name Madelyn. Well, I got a Madeleine (the "ei" is pronounced with an "i") when I married DH so that's close enough.
My brother is the last male with our family name. He had 6 girls, maybe one will keep their maiden name...
