Questions for Consultation

Hey Ladies,

Just want to know if any of you have any good questions to ask the RE during the initial consultation? I've got the obvious stuff...how much does this cost? What med protocol will I be on? When can we start?

I got a good one from someone's blog...she said to ask the doc if they had any samples of medications. Apparently she asked this and got 2 weeks free of all of the meds she needed to take just by asking. Love that helpful hint as our insurance doesn't cover this so any little bit helps....

I think you've got the basics covered. Maybe ask about ICSI and assisted hatching and if they do 3dt or 5dt. That's a good question to ask about the meds. I'll let you know if I think of any others.

It's good to ask about ICSI since I have no idea what that is! :) I've seen posts about it, but didn't know what it meant.

If you haven't found out by now ICSI is where they penetrate the egg with the sperm. It's used commonly with male factor infertility but some clinics routinely do it.
