So excited!-updated post #17 (hsg results)

I have never been so excited to see AF but I called to book my HSG today! I think they will do it next week but have to wait for the call. This last cycle was 37 days so they are getting a bit shorter. Hoping for answers and to get going on with everything! Blood work booked for Wednesday.

Margaret Yahoo

HSG booked, October 11th @ 10:45 and it is my RE doing it so I should know results right away! Smile

Yay Margaret! So excited for you! HSG wasn't bad at all. I worried about it needlessly. I'm still waiting on my HSG results. Hopefully find something out today. Keep us posted!

Yahoo for getting AF. It's seems strange to say you're excited about it but I know exactly how you feel. It's the next step to getting some answers and a plan established. So many times in our lives we wish she would stay away. Hope you can get your HSG scheduled. Glad AF came without needing assistance.

Did you get some rest? I never had any blood taken. I had a bad RE. The only blood I had taken was an AMH, FSH, and E2 that was ordered by my ob/gyn after DH talked to her. She said she'd order it but couldn't interpret the results. I knew more than she did so when I got the results it was enough for me to know that I was in POF.

Seriously! Wow! That was a bad RE and you have to pay!

I did get some rest, I pretty much fell asleep the moment I laid down. With all the blood taken I was feeling a bit light headed which is not normal for me. With being diabetic I am used to them taking blood but with fasting (the did cholesterol and stuff) I think it was too much. Feeling much better today.

Good luck with your HSG. I've had two and hardly had any pain at all, despite my tubes being blocked the second time. Just took a few ibuprofen ahead of time like they advised. Hope this gets the ball rolling for you quickly!

Unfortunately I am allergic, I have other stuff I can take though... I got pregnant with Bailey after my last one... I can hope again.

Ok, first you need to understand that my RE is a bit of a jokester, then you will understand the following:

First he told me that I have a "beautiful" cervix. A few minutes later he changed his mind. The first catheter used, my cervix would not seal around it so he had to use another kind. So I got to feel 2 pinches (but neither were bad). So then he injects the dye, cramping was not fun but not horrible I have menstrual cramps that are worse. My uterus is "lovely and anything less then twins is criminal"! LOL - anything more then twins are a problem!! I am 43! The dye immediately started flowing through the right, took a minute longer for the left (which I think is the positioning as it is always hard to see on u/s). My tubes are "wonderful".

So my insides are beautiful, lovely and wonderful! LOL. I have a prescription for 5mg of folic acid and I see him in November for blood results, sperm results and to set up the first cycle of injectables and IUI.

Thanks ladies. I forgot about the after cramping. I was doing ok but now the cramping has started... Sad I did do quite a bit of walking this evening. Quite a bit of spotting too but it is pretty normal for me to spot a lot after a pap so not unexpected.

That sounds like great results! I hear you about the after cramping. I had cramps the whole day after the procedure and some spotting too. Nothing Ibuprofen couldn't take care of, but still annoying. Hope you feel better tomorrow!

Things have settled down this morning. Had a horrible night sleeping though, pain was not good and I even took tylenol #3s!

Glad you are feeling better this morning. Sorry you had such a rough night. I remember quite a bit of cramping for a few days afterward but I went shopping at the Mall of America the next day so that could've had lots to do with it.

If you like the Mall of America you should come up here. West Edmonton Mall is bigger for MofA has more stores. Since the West Ed has 2 hotels, a water park, an amusement park and an NHL sized ice rink the size is bigger. We went to the hotel with a theme room for our 10th wedding anniversary in April.

Wow! That sounds huge! We go to the MOA every year the first weekend of November. This year it's a weekend earlier though. Children mentioned...the girls don't have school that Friday because of conferences so it's a long weekend. We've been doing this ever since I came around, so this will be our 7th year. They have fun because they get to swim at the hotel and eat out and do a little shopping. This year we are spending one night in a waterpark hotel and the other night at the usual hotel we stay it. It's too expensive to stay both nights at the waterpark hotel. What was your theme room?

I just googled how far away that mall is from me. It's 25 hrs. Don't think I'll be going there anytime soon. Maybe if DH and I took a vacation to Canada we could.

I am getting to this late but yay!!!!! Yahoo Glad that your tubes are "wonderful" and your cervix is "Beautiful" and your uterus is "lovely". Hahaha. Your RE sounds funny. It's good to have a sense of humor in this field. Sounds like we will be on similiar plans. I am CD7 and next cycle I can do IUI. I am doing IUI w/clomid. Glad everything went good and nice to have someone to go through this journey with! Smile :grouphug:
