So much for being stress-free

I just need to vent a bit. My injection side effects kicked in last night. After 8 months, I forgot how intense they are. Plus, I think I am having a reaction to my antibiotic. I was driving into work this morning and had to pull over to throw up 3 times
So now I'm at home trying to relax and rest before my appt tomorrow morning. And we apparently have a woodpecker that has pecked a giant hole in the side of the house.
And DH is gone (again) this week so guess who has to take care of it? And no one can come out until tomorrow.
Deep breaths in... Thanks for letting me vent. I'm trying so hard to remain calm because I am right on the verge of having a massive freakout which is the last thing we need. I'm just so worried that I'm not responding to the meds. Guess I'll find out tomorrow. I just really want this to work. Sad

Sorry you are having a rough go of things. Feel free to vent all you want...that's what we're here for. What atb are you taking? I know there are quite a few of them that can cause stomach upset. I had a hard time tolerating doxycyline. That one is known for GI upset. The whole week I was on it was horrible. The 2nd time i had to take the doxy I ended up getting a Z-pak. Maybe you can call your RE to switch atbs. They give doxy to ppl with STD's because it treats a wide range of them. My DH is a physician so I told him they give it to ppl with STD's as punishment because it makes you so sick. What are you going to do about the bird? Woodpeckers are neat to watch but not pecking through your house.

Thanks! Today is a new day:) I have someone coming out this morning to patch up the hole w/ wire and I bought one of those fake owls to hopefully scare Woody and his friends away. As for the abx, I am on doxycyline (we are each other's first and only so no STDs - DH would have a lot of 'splaining to do ROFL ). I had my follow-up scan this morning. Everything looked great :yahoo:. I've been having some heavy bleeding but dr said that it wasn't uncommon but that it wasn't too common. Hopefully it will stop as my levels rise. I'm staying away from Dr. Google in the meantime though. They took my estrogen level and will call me to adjust injections if it's too low. If not, I'll just keep on with my same dosage of Follistim. I go back on Friday. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Yep, it's the doxy that's making you sick. What someone told me to do is to take it with oatmeal. It helped some, but not a lot. They just want to make sure you are free of any infections going into it. I think it's standard protocol everywhere.

Glad to hear you are getting bird taken care of. Hope your scan and bloodwork shows that things are working down there!

I'm on Doxy right now to. It has made me soo nausous and given me lower GI problems. I can't wait to be done it. They only way I can prevent the nausua is to eat it in the middle of a meal. If I eat it at the end or the begining my stomach is still upset.

Glad you got Woody and his friends taken care of!
