Is there anybody out there?

Just wondering if anyone is lurking around here. If so, give us an update how you are doing. This board has died :(

Its crazy how dead it is! I can't be the only person in preg. org land that is going through IVF right now!!! Wish people would come out from lurking and post on here if they are going through IVF or wanting to go through!

:wavehello: Maybe some ppl will come out of lurkdome since there's been a little activity now. Plus, it'd be nice for you to have a cycle buddy.

Hi! I am finally coming back. I don't know where everyone is. There are definitely lots of women going through IVF right now and it was huge to me to have the support from ladies here through that experience. I went through your blog. I think it is very cute. The whole thing is just amazingly horrifyingly stressful in my opinion. It is nice because we have a variety of outcomes here which means there is a woman who can relate with you practically no matter what you experience in your process.

Kate...I also enjoyed reading your blog. I could never write a blog...it'd be so boring. I took DHEA for a while before my 3rd cycle. I did notice that I did have more eggs retrieved than the previous 2 cycles. Idk if it was the DHEA, taking an 8 month break or new RE and protocol, but it didn't hurt. I took it on my own after doing research. My RE wanted me to stop taking it after we met though. I had looked into doing a DHEA study out in NYC but decided against it because it was so far away.

I am around, of course we are no longer TTC. Have been busy with job interviews and such since starting to feel better. Turns out I had Norwalk virus and all I can say is it is NASTY!!! So happy that Sean and Robbie did not get it as well.

I am hanging around a little bit. I still check the boards but haven't been posting much. I have been so busy with all things, family related, work related, friends, holidays and getting ready for the new arrival. After all the waiting for this pregnancy, you would think I'd have everything set and ready to go, but we don't. It still feels a little unreal and the nerves won't be totally gone until the little guy arrives safe and sound. I have also been trying to focus on my family and reaching out to friends more than I had been as I realized and feel a bit guilty about how much the infertility/IVF journey took me away from those people, in lots of ways.

I will keep checking in here and try to provide input/support for people who are here. The board members were so helpful and supportive for me during my rounds of IVF.

I can't figure out why it is so slow either, though. There just aren't many people posting about their IVF's on here, but there have to be tons of people going through it. I've lost track a bit, but it seems like there were some others who were on here a while and sort of faded away.

Kate, I took most of those same supplements prior to my second IVF. My doctor recommended DHEA, but nothing else so I quit when I started the stims. I personally feel like it helped, and that round was successful for us.

Will keep checking in here. Best of luck for you all going through cycles now.

Kara....glad to see you around and that everything seems to be going well. I can only imagine how surreal this all feels and how it won't feel like the real thing until your LO is here. Keep checking in and udating us :)
