Update on me...

Went to see RE for follow up. He has suggested a couple of things...

He wants to do a SHG, which I am surprised that wasnt done when he did the HSG. I will have that done on Tuesday. How painful will it be?

He also wants me to see a Dr. Hickman here in Houston. He went to school with him and they are friends. He thinks very highly of him and wants me to get his opinion. Any Houston ladies know anything about this guy?

We will start our next cycle in August...

The biggest news is we got a new puppy on Sunday!! Honestly I thought it was too soon after Jack but Scott has really missed having a dog around. Now that she is here I am happy we have her. She is a 3.5 month old English Mastiff. If I know how to post pics I would. She's a beauty!!

Hope everyone is well!

Good luck! That's wonderful that your doctor is sending to someone he respects for a second opinion. I hope he can shed more light on things.

A puppy!!! Congrats!!! She sounds like a cutie!

SHG wasn't bad... there was some cramping, but that was it. To me, it was kind of like when they do the embryo transfer. Hubby and I will probably be starting our next cycle in August so we can be cycle buddies again Smile

AWWW... yeah for getting a new puppy!! Nothing makes me happier than seeing my pups tails wagging when I get home from a hard day at work! They just get so excited to see me and it totally makes everything else melt away.

Posting pics- go to photobucket.com and open a free account. I've used them for years... they are really easy to use. You upload your pics to photobucket and then you can paste the [IMG] code into your message to get your picture to appear. I'd love to see a pic of your new furbaby!

Glad to hear you had a good f/u and know where you need to go now. I can't remember the difference between an HSG and SHG. Is the SHG where they put the saline in and the HSG where they do the dye. If so, the SHG was simple compared to the HSG. Just very mild cramping. I have period cramps more than the ones I have had with that. Good luck with the new doc. I'm glad your doc wants you to see someone new. That says a lot about your current RE. He has the "balls" to say he wants you to go elsewhere instead of just taking your money and hoping to get you pregnant.

I saw the pic of your puppy. She's so big. How big will she get? Our dog passed away a few months ago. We aren't looking to replace her but do miss her at times. We are at our lake house right now and she always used to come up here with us and we'd take her on walks. That's where we miss her. Every summer when we'd close up the house for the winter I'd think "is this going to be the last time you're here Mollie?"

Yes it is the saline one. I already had the dye one done.

Awww...Meg, that breaks my heart!! What kind of dog was she? How old was she?

Katie will probably be around 110 lbs...he dad was 120 and her mom was 110. We are lucky as these dogs can get as big as 200 lbs!! So far she is very sweet although a little timid. She starts puppy classes Tuesday night and doggie day care in 3 weeks, she will go 2x a week.

Mollie was a "pound hound" as DH calls her. She was found wandering the streets of Kansas City. We really don't know what kind she was. She was a mix of some sort. She looked like a fox. Our neighbors would see her at night in their driveway and think there was a fox. She was a really pretty and very well behaved dog. If I could be guarenteed a dog like her, I'd get one again in a heartbeat. We really don't know how old she was but DH had her for about 18 years and she wasn't a puppy when we got her. We are guessing 20 yrs old.

I can't believe how big those dogs get!! Just curious...what is doggy daycare? I don't think we have that around here.

It's just a place where you can drop your dog off for the day. It's $15/a day and they can play all day with other dogs. It's better than her being in her cage all day.
