Update post #12-It worked this time (pregnancy mentioned)

My HCG blood test was 231 today at 9dp5dt.

Here are my pictures. I could only get them tiny or huge. I couldn't figure out how to get them in between. The FRER are from the last 3 days. The last cheapie is from this morning and the first one is from Thursday afternoon, after the nurse called to give me my progesterone/estrogen levels, then shocked me when she said the doctor had her sneak in a HCG test and is was measuring at 20. I have no idea why the doctor ran the test so early (5dp5dt), but I am not complaining. They didn't even give me a chance to obsess or decide when I was going to POAS. For some reason, I just felt like I had to keep it to myself.....I didn't tell hubby until that night when he got home and I didn't tell my mom until yesterday. I thought I'd jinx it or something (I'm still worried about that).

I am cautiously optimistic, but of course the worry is still there. I go for more bloodwork on Thursday.

Thank you everyone for all the support through this. It has been such a huge help.

Yahoo Congrats!!!! Looks like you have some nice looking lines there. Good luck on Thursday! I'm glad there is such positive news after the bad experience you've had this cycle with the bleeding and hospitalization. Went I went through the similar thing my 2nd cycle I really didn't want to think about doing a 3rd cycle at the time because I never wanted to experience that pain again.

Thanks everyone. I am not feeling it's real just yet.

After everything that happened with the retrieval I wasn't sure my body was ready for an embryo, even though the doctor said it wouldn't interfere. I've joked that maybe all those pain killers and sleeping I did for the 5 days before the transfer had me really good and relaxed. In truth, I wasn't thinking much about the transfer, only about wanting to feel better. Crazy how things happen sometimes.

Will keep you updated on the betas.

So today my HCG came back at 658. That's a double time of exactly 48 hours. The nurse said the doctor was very comfortable with this. Unfortunately, I am having some doubts. The reason I am nervous is that the numbers are lower for the date and with a longer double time than I had with my second pregnancy, which was successful. I am a more tired than usual, boobies sore and feeling a bit weird and picky about food, but I am not really nauseous yet, which I had with my two successful pregnancies, I just can't remember when it really started. Yes, I am overanalyzing. I need to just trust the doctor, he's been right about everything else. Next blood test is Tuesday. It's going to be a long wait.

I know exactly how frustrating it all is. I am praying for you and that your next test comes out beautifully. I did not have nausea until much later with my first pregnancy and I do not have it now. The constant cramping is making me a little crazy thinking a miscarriage will happen at any minute. Just a reminder that each one of us is a miracle. It is too bad you have to wait until Tuesday to get more news. Anything can happen. This cycle has gone much better than you originally expected. I am keeping you in my prayers. What is your EDD?

Work slowed down and I got a day off, just when I probably need to stay busy just to stay sane.

My EDD is Jan 27 or 28 depending on which website I use. I understand about the days off....the long weekend is just stretching out in front of me and I know I'm going to be worrying. I just want so badly for this to work out. I know everyone here has been through a struggle, and I know mine is no worse, but after everything I have gone through in the last 2 years, I just want to catch a break already. My numbers appear normal for where I am at-12dp5dt or 17 DPO-from what I've gathered online. I just know it was higher during my second pregnancy, (but that wasn't an IVF pregnancy). It's maddening that the more you know, the more nervewracking it is. I am going to go crazy this weekend. Thank you for the prayers.

I had less nausea with my IVF pregnancy versus my other pregnancies. I wonder if the progesterone supplementation kept my levels more steady so the hormones weren't as noticeable? Also, I've found that morning sickness doesn't usually start until at least 6 weeks and you aren't to that point, right? Every pregnancy is different and it doesn't mean that this one isn't healthy just because it isn't folllowing the pattern of your others. Things are more than likely A-OK! Biggrin

How was your blood test yesterday? Remember that each pregnancy is different and you can't compare the two.

Oh, I forgot to post about my blood test. Nurse said everything was fine, and the number online said >5000. So at 5000 that is a better double time than my last test (whew!), but I don't know exactly what it was. I go next week for an US and bloodwork again, but I wonder if they have a different test or something because just knowing it's >5000 doesn't seem useful. I feel a bit better about the whole thing, but I still don't have much nausea, just a little occasionally. Maybe it won't really happen this time. But, it's just what I expect, so I'm still waiting!

Between 2 cycles of injectables over 3 months and all the progesterone, and the swelling after retrieval, I think I already have a belly. I was trying on dresses and it's noticeable. Yikes. Not complaining at all, but out come the baggy clothes. Would like to keep it under wraps for a while yet, if possible.

Thanks for all the reassurance and good thoughts, everyone!

Me too! I already look 4 months pregnant. I have already put my tighter fitting clothes in storage for the move. I won't fit in those any time soon.

Everything sounds like it is looking good. We are still not allowing ourselves to get excited until after the ultrasound.
