World Breastfeeding Week 2013 August 1 - 7
This year's World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) theme is one that our members have been showcasing for years: "Breastfeeding Support: Close to Mothers"! It centers on the importance of peer support in getting started and continuing... especially through those first 6 week hurdles and later challenges that crop up. With support, many more women report successful breastfeeding experiences and remain happier with their decision. These connections can take root during pregnancy and extend on through extended breastfeeding and weaning.
While support can (or should!) come from many different sources, Pregnancy.org is pleased to continue offering numerous breastfeeding resources for our members -- and most importantly, a venue for YOU to help one another! 2013's WBW theme is truly a celebration of YOU!!!
