WOW, so this is preganacy number eight and I am only 25. I have one living child who will be for in about a week, Dec. 4th. My mind is racing with so many emotions, thoughts, questions and worries.

Since I am not new to the game of being pregant, this is STILL a shock. It was not planned persay, as in detail "quick im ovulating" but as in no protection and if it happens great!

Responding When People Don't Understand Your Miscarriage

We've all been there. The moment someone says something hurtful about the loss of our baby. I say it's time to hold our heads high, reclaim our privacy and space, and let people know that what they say is not acceptable. Learn how to educate "the ignorant," "the indignant" and "the idiot" so their next response can help heal a friend facing pregnancy loss.

Sigh, I'm so frustrated with ttc though I know I shouldn't be. We've only been ttc for 5 months now and I'm already frustrated. I realize theres couples that have been ttc for years without any luck and I suppose I wouldnt be as frustrated if I didn't get pregnant almost instantly the first time. I got pregnant within 2 months of ttc, mind you I was on bc for 7 years (including 4 cycles of depo--which i stopped as soon as i was informed of the effects, living two hours away from my SO, and only actually "trying" 4 times!), it ended in a m/c and I haven't been able to get pregnant since.

Life after Potter's Syndrome Entry #2

MrsDisel's picture

We lost our son back on April 25th, 2009 because of Potter's Syndrome. I gave birth at 2:46 that morning and left the hospital that very same day sometime after supper time. After more then 24 hours of labor....After all that work I left that hospital with empty arms and an indiscribable emptiness inside. After waking up the next morning in a fog, we made arrangments for our sons services and burial. Isaacs funeral was on April 29th at 11am. We had a full christian service and then buried my son at a cemetary 1 1/2 miles from our house.

I want to start off by introducing myself and telling you a little bit about our story for those who do not know me.
My name is Lee-Anne, and I just found out that I am expecting my 4th child. My husband and I have been married for 4 years, and we have 2 beautiful little girls Zoey(3) and Alayna(2). They are my whole world and I'm am so thankful for having them, I would not trade them for anything in this world. They are a handful and quiet energetic, especially Alayna who takes after her father.

Cervical Pregnancy

Cynthia Flynn's picture

Dear Midwife,
I had a very rare cervical pregnancy at 6 weeks. It was my second pregnancy, first was perfectly fine. No history of miscarriages. I was admitted into the hospital and had potassium chloride injected into the gestational sac to stop the heartbeat of the fetus. I have been having methotrexate injections and 4 days after receiving the KCL I had to have methotrexate injected in the remaining tissue still dividing. Today my hCg levels decreased from 21000 to 17000, I will be monitored to make sure they get back to zero. I had 5 doses (63 mg) of methotrexate.

Well, as it turns out, I had another miscarriage. I had to wait to write this entry until 2 weeks after the fact because I was so emotional and angry that this happened to me again within the time frame of 3 months. 2 miscarriages in 3 months time. It is extremely heartbreaking, words just can't describe the amount of emotional pain, frustration and anger that goes along with this. I've had several talks with my doc about the why's and he firmly believes that we have just had a bad roll of the dice twice in a row.
