Actress Drew Barrymore, 38, confirmed rumors today that she is indeed pregnant. She and husband Will Kopelman are expecting their second child. Earlier in 2012, the couple was blessed with a baby girl, Olive, who's now just 13 months old.
"When I found out I was overjoyed. It always feels so surreal, it's incredible," Barrymore said in an interview with People magazine. "[I'm feeling] incredible, that 'Here we go again' feeling. And blessed. Blessed!"
Barrymore and Kopelman also said they tried to keep the secret for as long as possible, however, they knew they'd need to go public with the pregnancy - and likely sooner rather than later. The couple wants their pregnancy to be a time of joy, celebration and anticipation, which wasn't going to happen if they had to keep dodging questions from the press, who would be speculating.
"Last time I never commented on it and people just stalked me the entire time," Barrymore told People. "So yes, it's happening, it's true. I tried to keep it a secret for as long as possible."
The couple is hoping the admission will buy them slightly more privacy than the last time around, so that they can focus on what's important: their family. Barrymore hasn't been shy about telling the world that she wants to have a large family with Kopelman. In fact, she says that one of the reasons why she's truly excited is that Olive now gets to have a little brother or sister.
