When he isn't on the field winning Super Bowl titles, New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is playing the role of father alongside his wife, Abby McGrew. The two have a daughter together, named Ava, who just celebrated her second birthday. Now, McGrew and Manning have announced that they're onto their second pregnancy.
"She's due in June," Manning told Us Weekly. "We're all very excited."
Manning and McGrew have been together since college and tied the knot in 2008 while in Mexico. They recently threw a birthday party for Ava, who is now anticipating a new baby brother or sister! With the arrival of a new child, Manning will need to pay extra attention to how he manages his time off the field.
Preparing for baby no. 2
Whether you consider yourself to be a pregnancy expert or you're nervous about having a second child, there are a few measures you can take to prepare and make sure that you're on top of all your parenting obligations. First, it's critical to recognize that you'll be much busier with two kids around the house. For this reason, you may want to think about bringing in help such as a nanny or a relative to tackle all of your household responsibilities.
Next, you should be aware of the rivalry that may grow between your new child and your existing one. Try to keep your first born involved in the parenting process to ensure he or she feels like a helpful member of the family. Finally, break out the calculator and do your finances to give yourself peace of mind. Knowing how much money you will have to spend on expenses and everything in between is necessary as you begin to care for another life.
