One woman who's been all over the news for her pregnancy is Kim Kardashian, and reporters haven't had enough of the reality television star just yet! Beginning in her first trimester, the world began to watch as Kardashian's belly expanded and she put on some pounds - many of which were frowned upon by those who envy her beauty. However, it seems that Kardashian has done a good job of showing her critics that their words aren't hurting her, even sporting a bikini on the beach to showcase her baby bump.
Now, the celebrity is making headlines again for her food cravings rather than her body, according to DNA India. Sources close to Kardashian say that the mom-to-be, who's due in July, is craving none other than fruits and vegetables! This might come as a surprise to many who originally criticized her for putting on an ample amount of weight. Celery, grapefruit and carrots all seem to be favorites of the brunette.
"I just don't crave any of the junk food that I used to eat normally, and that really is upsetting to me," Kardashian told E! News. "I thought I was going to be home eating like McDonald's and Taco Bell and ice cream - can't eat any of it."
Perhaps it's a good thing that Kardashian isn't craving salty and sugary snacks, which can potentially cause her to put on more baby weight than necessary. As we all know, losing it in the limelight can be quite a challenge!
Are food cravings driving you wild?
Having food cravings is one of the most renowned pregnancy symptoms, and they can be downright unusual and unexpected for women who've never been pregnant. However, this doesn't mean that you need to completely throw yourself into every urge that you have, even if you do have a can of sardines and ice cream in your kitchen! One way to make it easier on yourself is to think about what types of food you're craving. For instance, if you desire salty items, this might simply be a sign that your body needs more sodium. With this information, you can find healthy ways to get the nutrients you need.
Don't hesitate to talk to your doctor if you're interested in learning more about food cravings, such as where they come from and how to handle them!
