Kendra Wilkinson announces she's having her second child
by Missy Jaramillo
"Round two. Here we go!!" read a recent Twitter post by former Playboy model Kendra Wilkinson, announcing that she's pregnant for the second time.
Joyful as the news is, it will come as no surprise to those who've been following Wilkinson in recent months. Back in August, she told Us Weekly magazine that while she wasn't pregnant at that time, she and her husband, NFL player Hank Baskett, were planning to have another child soon.
After defending Jessica Simpson against critics who said she had gained too much weight during her pregnancy, Wilkinson hoped that the actress and singer would return the favor by offering her tips on how to shed the pounds after delivery, according to Us Weekly.
E! News noted that Wilkinson brought the news that she's expecting her second child to the world outside Twitter on a recent episode of the "Today" show with Katie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb. On the show, the model joked about her struggles with morning sickness during the first trimester.
"I'm really at a great stage," Wilkinson said, then added with a laugh, "Not physically. I'm in the bathroom every 10 minutes," according to the news source.
On the show, Wilkinson also stressed how supportive and loving her husband has been during her pregnancy. Baskett makes sure she's well taken care of and thanks her every day for being the mother of his children, according to the news source.
When she spoke to Us Weekly in August, Wilkinson made it clear that she takes the responsibility of motherhood seriously.
"A lot of parents dump their kids off to swimming lessons. I was going to, and said no, I'll do it myself ... It's empowering to know you don't have to dump your kids off," Wilkinson told the news source.
