It's been one of the most talked about pregnancies in Hollywood, and now it just became more enticing - Kim Kardashian has announced the gender of her baby. More specifically, she allowed her hit reality television show, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," to do all of the work. Since Kardashian confirmed her pregnancy, she's been keeping the sex of the child a secret. On the most recent episode of the show, she went in for a doctor appointment that revealed the gender to her, her family, boyfriend Kanye West and the rest of the world.
"I'm so excited we're having a girl," Kardashian said. "Like, who doesn't want a girl? They're the best. And I know that's what Kanye has always wanted. He wanted a little girl."
This past Sunday, Kardashian had her baby shower, which made headlines for its lavish invitations that came in the form of a jewelry box with a spinning ballerina. West was in attendance, along with Kelly Osbourne, Maria Menounos and other celebrities. The theme of the event was a garden party, according to the New York Daily News. As expected, Kim's sisters Kourtney and Khloe were also there.
Planning your baby shower
Once you learn which pregnancy symptoms to expect and adjust to the idea of being a parent, you can begin easing into some of the fun that comes with having a baby. Throwing a baby shower is not only exciting, but worthwhile as you look to stock up on items for your infant. That being said, there are a few ways you can make it easier to host a shower without putting stress on you or your partner.
First, think about having the event at your own house to save money on a venue. Then, don't worry about sending out lavish invitations - these days, there are plenty of reputable websites that offer eVites that are just as eye-pleasing as physical cards. Finally, consider creating a theme for your baby shower to make it special and decipher it from other types of parties. You can center the event around the gender of the baby, the season or any other creative ideas you have in mind to make the celebration unique and memorable.
