Penelope Cruz confirms second pregnancy
by Missy Jaramillo
After going through a slew of first trimester symptoms, such as morning sickness and enduring labor, not all moms are ready to get back to baby-making. However, one A-list celebrity has shown that she's ready for more. Actress Penelope Cruz recently confirmed to the Associated Press that she's in the midst of her second pregnancy with Javier Bardem. The New York Post reported on the rumors in the beginning of February, but this is the first time that Cruz has validated the information.
Despite making it official, the couple has yet to provide any information on the due date of the child. Their first baby, Leonardo, came in 2011.
Planning for a second child
You might be interested in expanding your family in the near future, but do you know if you're prepared for two children running around the house as opposed to one? There are a few factors to consider prior to conceiving. First, you should make sure that you and your partner both genuinely want a child, according to The Daily Mail.
"It's crucial that you should both want this baby," parenting author Elizabeth Martyn told the source. "It's a recipe for disaster if one of you is much keener than the other to have another child, and you go ahead before you're both ready."
Next, you should ensure that you're financially prepared to handle another child. Finally, it's crucial to determine whether you have time for a new addition to your family. Babies are hard work, which your first son or daughter may have already taught you! Martyn added that you'll want to make sure that you still have time for your relationship while caring for your little ones.
