Experts at the Faculty of Sciences for Physical Activity and Sport compared two groups of pregnant women, separated by their levels of exercise, as directed by the researchers. They found that individuals who participated in physical activity were less likely to need surgery during delivery. Now, professionals within the medical community may see reason to stress the importance of maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle to expectant mothers. Women who stay in shape while pregnant might be able to reduce the risk of complications during birth.
