Exercise After Intrauterine Insemination
QUESTION
Dear Fitness Expert,
My husband and I have been trying for 1 1/2; years to conceive and are now under the care of a reproductive endocrinologist. I have been an avid runner and do some moderate weight lifting for about 6 years now. We had the Intrauterine Insemination a little over a week ago and I am dying to work out, but many people have said to just hang tight for a couple of weeks. Is this necessary? Will running or lifting some weights have any affect on conception? Please advise...

My husband has a low sperm count.Since my surgery in June this past year I have found my periods to be almost clockwork. This month my period was early and short. Is there a chance I am pregnant or that I miscarried?

Miscarriage Facts
Intercourse, falling, and exercise does not typically cause a miscarriage. The fetus is well protected by the mother's bones and muscle as well as by the amniotic fluid. There is also no evidence that conceiving while taking birth control pills increases the risk of miscarriage.

Amanda's Journey In the beginning...
It all started with Emilee getting sick mid September. Long story short, she ended up being hospitalized on September 28th. After all the stress that night, I found I was getting my period. It was kind of the straw that broke the camels back. I just lost it.
Amanda's Journey -- Week 5
Boy have I missed writing in here for over a week. Our vacation was nice. It was so much fun to see all the kids together. Boy was the noise level in that house LOUD! Three 2-year-olds and a 7-year-old in one room can give anybody a headache.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: Facts and Treatments

Okay, let's see how well I can type while the tears are coming at full force. Don't think I have to say one reason why I am crying. Yep, CD 1. I started spotting this afternoon. You would think it wouldn't affect me as much right now because we were taking a break this month. With my re-appointment coming up we thought we would relax this month. So, why did I still get my hopes up?

As I sit here preparing to write about my week it’s snowing outside. We are preparing for a really bad storm. We have gone from total estimates of 6 inches up to 20-25 inches now! Seeing Emilee's excitement watching it fall makes me happy and sad—happy that we are lucky enough to even have a child and sad that we haven't been able to have another.
