Trying to Conceive

The Big Decision!

Flower0022's picture

So I am new to this site... My husband and I have finally made the decision to start trying for a baby and I couldn't be more thrilled! I'm still in school, due to walk across the stage in May for my bachelor's degree and then we're on to a new duty station...very close to family. I'm just really excited to take this next step in our life together. This blog is just to basically introduce myself and ask for any tips or advice on getting pregnant and dealing with anything that comes along with it. Hopefully the wait isn't too long and I'll have another post soon with good news! Smile

And so it begins...

So, as is want to do in the lives of us, things have changed, plans have been thrown asunder and we now simply move on with what we have in hopes of coming out on top.

And, thus, it begins.

Plans for Alabama have been blown out of the water by newer plans to remain in the NOVA region. Meds have ceased, the proverbial candles have been lit and we are off and running in the race to conception.

Opk Test Strips

Cynthia Flynn's picture

Dear Midwife,
Hi I Have just started using opk test strips and heard that these could also be used as an early indication of pregnancy - eg if you got a positive opk test result say 10days after ovulation this could indicate early pregnancy? is this correct? I have three children already but this is the first time I have used the test strips for ovulation prediction,
thank you,

I can't remember the rest of the words to the song (to my blog title), but it's exactly how I feel when it comes to trying to have a baby. This is my first blog entry ever. I thought I would do this to get my feelings out there because I can't quite find a blog from someone who has gone through what I have. Maybe by doing this I will connect with someone who understands what I'm going through. All of the fertility blogs I have read are either by someone who has gone through far worse than I have, or someone who was infertile when I started reading, but is now blissfully pregnant.
