The Big Day

I just found out I'm pregnant yesterday!

I just found out yesterday that I was pregnant. And the bloodwork just came back this morning so I talked to my doctor. And I am infact pregnant. Probably only a few weeks. Since this is the first time pregnancy for me, I'd like to know as much about what to expect, stories, everything on pregnancy. I have a few books including What to Expect When Expecting, i just want to know all different things from all aspects. I'm very excited and so is my fiance, but yet I'm also very nervous because all I can think about is the pain parts of pregnancy, espesially labor, and I'm not good with pain.

Labor soon?

Just wondering... I am 37 weeks pregnant with my second child - you would think I would have this down but I have forgotten a lot of this... I am having tons of braxton hicks, sharp pain down there, especially if I get up at all and walking for over 10 minutes, forget it! I know that noone can predict it for sure but does anyone have an idea of how far away labor is and should I wait until full blown contractions start to go to hospital? I'm 30 minutes away from it... Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Dear Mr. Dad,
It seems that every one of my wife's friends have had c-section deliveries. She's about a month away from her due date and we're both worried that she's going to have a c-section too. The childbirth preparation class we took didn't spend a lot of time on c-sections. In case it happens, what can I expect and what can I do to stay involved?

Birth Bag Tips and Checklist

Whether you're giving birth at a hospital or birthing center, it doesn't so much matter the where as the 'what' to bring with you. Remember, only bring what makes sense to you and leave your valuables at home -- it will be one less thing to worry about. This is a comprehensive list that you can use as a guide to pick and choose the items that seem right for you.
